Let me know if you get it. I wanted my dealer to install it and he could not find it on his dealership options. I just ordered it from a gentech dealer in sacto.

Saw the window sticker for this 2014 limited. It shows to have auto dimming, homelink, and a temperature display. Anyone here have a 2014 limited that can confirm that the mirror has all of these functions? azapu8ah_be77e111084ab6b2b2d26be8d43a370378437b4f.jpg

This is for a 2013, because the monitor is not in the 2014 mirror, it is in the radio display. That was one of the changes from 2013 to 2014... Unless this is a Canadian truck, then all bets are off...

10th digit of the VIN is "E" meaning 2014 and it's in New Jersey.

Well if it shows it on the sticker on the truck then it is an advertised feature that needs to be on the truck or be put on it when anyone calls them on it not being there. I'd like to know what grounds gets them out of providing it since it was listed on the sticker. If their sticker verbage is outdated then it's their own mistake and they should have to eat cost of it being part of the truck. Either add it or write a check for the dealer cost of said item + installation to everyone who has the sticker with it listed but not on the truck or take whatever the dealer price for mirror plus install is off the price of the truck. Anything else = straight up bullshit.

Is the truck still wired for the temp gauge to the mirror? Maybe swap in a 2013 mirror or equivalent aftermarket unit (aren't they all made by Gentech anyway)?

My '13 is the first vehicle with a temp gauge. I don't know how I lived without it! I also don't know how I lived without an auto dimming mirror. Crazy how some of you say it doesn't work well, I think it's completely amazing and flawless.

Not sure. I wish it was wires for the overhead temp gauge. I like that style.

I ordered my truck using what the original brochure was telling me also. It stated it would have the autodim/compass & temp. While waiting for my truck to arrive I was checking this site and knew people were not getting the mirror so I figured mine wouldn't have one either when it showed up and I was admittedly pissed about it. It wasn't listed on the window sticker so I knew I didn't stand a chance with the dealer so it was either walk away over a mirror or buy the truck I wanted and put the mirror in later. I bought the truck. Next week I'm having a Gentex mirror ( model 50-GENK20A ) installed. I don't need homelink so it should be the perfect mirror for me and includes the separate temp sensor to be mounted.

The 50-GENK20A is a great model. I used it for years in my ranger. When I sold the truck I got almost what I paid for the mirror new. I think the auto dimming on that model worked way better and was more responsive than the Toyota auto dim mirror I have in my truck now.

FWIW, I'm very happy with the CIPA 36500 (actually made by Donnelly).

We just made a trip to VT and back and it worked great. I didn't expect the auto-dim would be as useful as it actually was. The compass and outside temp worked flawless, and the map lights were useful several times (I like that they don't illuminate the whole cabin).

I was mainly after outside temp, but now I'm appreciating all of the features. The reason I went with it over Gentek were the overwhelming positive reviews on Amazon and the compass/temp displays are underneath the mirror (probably my OCD kicking in, but I'd rather the mirror and display functions were separate).
