Started getting cabin fever, so I went to take some pictures in the Blizzard.

I realized I hadn't taken a pic of the BAMF LCA skids installed. I decided on a whim to leave them white. Looked amazing when the truck was clean and sitting on asphalt, but lets be honest, they will never be that crisp again so I may hit them with some black next time they are off. Too bad I didn't get a picture when they were first installed, but you can see them here. Built like a brick shit-house, just the way I want them.

Nice pictures. I'm very happy with my LCA skids as well, looks like we got them around the same time haha. How much snow you end up with? Disappointing 12" here. I may go out here this afternoon and play.

Probably somewhere between 24-26". Some of my coworkers a little farther north got a bunch more than us, approaching 38-40". Im dyeing to take the truck out and play. I really need to sit tight and run the stove though. If we lose power and the stove is out Im screwed... lol

Playing with my camera and exploring the "neighborhood" today. Roads haven't been touched yet.

Those are some cool pics, like the train picture a lot. I'm not as good with my camera yet, still working on figuring out aperture and speed settings and things for different scenarios.

Thinking about scooping up an Oil Catch Can. Have it narrowed down to two options... both are expensive for what they are but are solid, have similar features and should last the lifetime of the truck. Any of yall running either of these cans? Thoughts for my application:

    1. Moroso 85474
    • Smaller (I have limited mounting options and this may give me more options to play with)
    • Extended bottom drain with elbow for easy access
    • Comes with 3' of 3/8" hose for plumbing (not high temp)
    • Shorter drain intervals?
    • $150: holy shit
    • On the shelf ready for shipping
    2. Saikou Michi S1-OCC
    • A little bigger
    • Longer drain intervals?
    • 1/4 turn valve is add on ($12)
    • Drain extension is add on ($12)
    • 3' of 3/8" hose ($5.25), high temp ($9)
    • Built to order - ETA unknown
    • Nicer finish - can be custom
    • Cost ($99) - With add-ons similar to Moroso 85474 ($128.25)
Leaning towards the Moroso right now esp. if i can find it cheaper. Mounting either of these is going to be a puzzle.

Have you considered an ADD W1 can? I've seen them on eBay for $90

They come in pretty colors, too! LOL

Are oil catches that beneficial on non supercharged vehicles? This is the question that's kept me from getting one. On non supercharged tacomas I know it keeps carbon solids from getting in the breather line, but can't you just keep that clean? :notsure:
