Wow. Would have thought that Camels Hump would have been a good place to adventure a little.
The ADKs are great though. I am not very close, but close enough for trips.

Went to camels hump and Mansfield a ton , did a bunch of the long trail too.

I some how completely missed southern VT though. Never ventured into the national forest or white rocks area. Looking forward to it!

Hope you have a great trip/weather. Do hit me up if you come through the Berkshires. Know where to find some great food/beer right on route 7, no detours. :D

Back from VT. Really great trip. My gf and I pretty much covered the entire state, saw lots of new places and some of my old favorites. Finished the trip with friends in Burlington and had some really shit luck right before the drive home. Ill get to that later....

Here are some of my favorite pics.

Now for the shitty part... The day before I was planning on driving home to VA (Sunday), I went with some friends to a old swimming hole we used to go to in college. Last 2 pics. While we were down there, apparently some fucktards decided to smash into a couple of cars parked along the road. They hit 4 cars, mine being one of them... Bastards stole some of my shit and ALL of my gf's stuff. They also tried to get into the cap by taking the tailgate off but must have been spooked as it was a pretty busy road. Lets just say it was a long, loud and depressing 11 hour drive home...

    Brace yourself...

Thanks guys. They didnt get much in value. Some old irreplaceable family relics in her clothes bag was the biggest hit. Knowing these assholes would see that it was just some women's clothes and pitch it in a dumpster was hard. Shitty culmination to an epic trip.

Sorry about the break in man, I know the feeling of being violated like that. :( My apartment was broken into couple years ago and all my firearms were stolen along with many other irreplaceable items. Was a hard lesson learned to be better prepared for the worst.

You have an amazing build tho! I love the setup and of course that Tepui Autana. Jealous that you can use your annex as its intended, my RTT isn't high enough. Great pics and camp locations too!

Looks like an awesome trip and great photos! That's shitty your truck got broken into. Vermont is a great state regardless of some scumbags. Keep on the adventures!!

There are scumbags everywhere. Vermont is no exception. Still had a kickass trip! Sure as hell wasn't going to let them mess it up.

Thanks brother. Need to pull out everything to get all the glass out. Not gonna happen soon cause, well, adventure.

    Sucks on the break in!

Gotta a question for you, how is the ARE camper shell holding up for you? Been thinking about getting one.

What model did you get? Any extras?

    Thanks

Mine is a CX series. I'm happy with it. I got half sliding side windows with pet screens. And fold down/sliding front. Doing it over I might get the windoors to access bed items but the trade off is smaller sliding window. (I use mine for ventilation for my pup). I didn't get carpet cap cause of dog hair but I did get a bed rug so he wouldn't slide around. All depends on what you want out it.

Call me crazy. But I prefer the look of the CX over the Z.

Went down to Bath County this past weekend for a couple days of camping, caving and exploring on a friends old farm. Beautiful country down there.

    DSC_0007-7.jpg DSC_0011-11.jpg DSC_0013-13.jpg

We went exploring the caves three times, two of which were at night. I only brought my camera once, because getting to the cave was a pain and it was completely dark anyways.

    DSC_0041-41.jpg

^ This is part of the trail leading up after crossing the river. There was a small opening in the ground on the right that was blowing cold cave air out.

    DSC_0043-43.jpg

^ Hard to tell without scale but the trail is on the left. You can just barely make out the opening of the cave above the brush.

    DSC_0046-46.jpg

^ Closer up the scramble, looking into the main opening. Again no scale here, but you can walk into the cave standing up.

    DSC_0049-49.jpg

^ River way down below. Pretty amazing limestone formations all above us.

    DSC_0082-82.jpg
    DSC_0092-92.jpg

    Some scale.

    DSC_0094-94.jpg DSC_0110-110.jpg
Crappy cave pics. None of them came out well. These caves go back for miles, sometimes opening up into huge cathedral rooms. It was really easy to get completely turned around. Im not an experienced caver by any means so it was easy to lose focus and get overwhelmed. Truly one of the coolest most unique places I have ever been.
