Yeah I took a Dremel to the fenders and hammered down the pinch weld. I installed an undercover winch mount and a warn m8000-s which made the front sag down a little. Trimmed a few more pieces and there is clearance all around. Also did the cab mount chop. Bay Area metal fab helped me out with the CMC.

I found that pruning shears does a great job making clean cut on the plastic fenders. The Dremel tends to melt the plastic rather than make a clean cut.

Looks sick this is the exact look I'm going for man! How do you like the icon? How bad was the install? I installed my complete suspension on my 72 gmc(leaf springs front and back, shocks, and shackle flip) ). I've also did minor work on several 350s. But I've never worked on anything as nice or new as my tacoma. In short words I'm scared too do anything too it. Lol. But Ives always been the guy in the room yelling you should fix everything yourself! Haha

Thanks dude. I'm doing it little by little but I like it. It sounds like you've got the skills to handle a suspension install. I love my Icons. The install isn't that bad. Definitely takes time, but if you go slow and have an extra set of hands it can easily be done in a weekend. Just have to figure out what goes where and take your time. The scariest thing for me was cutting into the fender to get the 285s to clear. You're going to need a cab mount chop too. Order the CMC plates from BAMF, get a cutting wheel, and someone who knows how to weld and you're set.

Nice setup man! I'm so happy to see another taco running Black Rhino, let alone Rockwells  I have a question about your lug nuts though. Is there another style of socket that will better fit the lugs that came with the Rockwells? I hate taking my wheels off now because I'm constantly afraid I'm going to strip the lugs :frusty::help:

Also, how is the Icon setup treating you? I'm running all stock currently, and I'm caught between Icon and Pro Comp.

Cheers to both of us having good taste in wheels! I haven't needed to take them off that often so I haven't worried about stripping them much. I get my tires rotated when I get a service every 5k miles and just leave the lug key for them to use. So far so good. If you find an alternative socket that will work let me know.

I love my Icons. I've never ridden in a truck with ProComp so I can't tell you which is better, but I have no complaints with the Icon/Dakar setup. Gave me plenty of room to stuff the 285 Duratracs in there. With those and a winch, I haven't found too many places where I can't go and most importantly, get out of.
