Hey guys. I purchased a used 2014 Tacoma DC in the summer of 2017. It has the entune radio with XM, no Nav.

In the past couple months I have had issues with the radio while at a normal radio volume, the speakers get quiet then loud on their own, are making a scratching sound then not, etc. I had a tech take a look and the speakers seem to be in working order. They said if I ran into the same issue after the speaker review which I did, they thought it may be the head unit itself.

Anyone run into this before or have feedback? Thanks

Try this, go into setup and audio, then see what you audio sound leveliser is set to. (High medium or low).
It adjusts the volume based on your vehicle speed.

Check to ensure you have the latest software update. My 15’ had numerous issues in head unit the update fixed all immediately. I was under warranty but they quoted me 85$ if I wasnt I beleive
