I thought the same thing when I saw it. Then again, I suppose you can learn guerilla warfare without having to see it written to know otherwise.

Nothing yet. Old truck had the works.
Idk what these guys are saying about drag A 3 inch lift really causes only an extremely small amount of drag. The reason a "lift hurts gas mpg" is because if you leave stock tires with a 3 inch lift it looks ridiculous so you add weight mainly from the new tires. A bigger tire of the same weight will save gas mpg but good luck finding one.

But you want to put bigger tires which is the way to go anyway. But it will hurt mpgs. Gonna be worth it though.

Whatever you do don't go with a body lift. Suspension lifts are the way to go for sure. With a suspension lift all you are doing is increasing the capabilities of your truck.
Body lifts just put like 20 little plastic spacers between the cab and the frame. Plus you gotta buy a lot more parts where the suspension lift is remove and replace 95% of the time.

A bit of a sidebar on the fuel economy and performance additions...has anyone had any experience with performance chips, eg 'bully Dog; Jet Performance; Edges or GForce chips?
North of the border we are seeing lots of advertisements pushing the concept, it looks interesting but someone must have given this a road test.

I agree with the lift part. However, if you find a the right wheel and tire combo you will be within the same ballpark weight as your previous rim and tire combo. I actually shaved a couple pounds switching from my factory chrome 18's by switching over to 16's and LT tires load range E, the BFG A/T's. If I am losing gas mileage, I'll attribute that to the added weight from my front end and armor. I have seen a very negligent change, hardly even noticeable from before and after all my mods. I know the Taco typically gets 320-350 miles to the tank in stock configuration as well. Then again I am mostly a highway truck so a lot of the weight will have no change since it is always in forward motion. City MPG is usually what suffers due to stopping and going.

Well this has been a very entertaining half hour of not working. Thank you TW! I would give you all big rep hugs if I could.
