Seems the problems should be getting fewer with the same model production years... not the case with this truck. After being on this forum and seeing first hand the problems people are experiencing year after year it's obvious they're not getting any better... wtf Toyota?

No issues with the 2011 and no issues (so far) with the 13. It seems as DD and Rich pointed out there is a smaller % of people having problems than you believe. I suggest you join a Dodge or GM forum if you want to see quality control issues.

Your link provided the best info in this thread so far. I joined this forum when I had frame rot. A few years after Toyota addressed the problem by replacing the frame, I purchased a new Tacoma and have been reading this forum since. The Tacoma is a good truck. I have been through the GM, Ford, Chrysler merry-go-round and invite anyone to spend their money on those products. I have and that's why I drive a Tacoma.

So was this ever fixed and what was the cause?
I have an Entune Premium W/Nav I bought from FLTrucks and has been perfect for 10 months and 12000 mile until this week.
Screen went blank and no sound then the startup screen then back to my home screen. Audio unchanged phone still paired but map display settings changed.
Put them back and it happened again when I got in the truck the next day and once on my way home yesterday.
Since I bought the unit from a private party I can't just take it back to the dealer.
    Anyone else have this issue?

I got one from FLTrucks last year and mine just did this a couple weeks ago too. Was driving to work and it rebooted itself twice in a row about 5 mins from leaving my house. Been fine since though.
