    the writing looks to be printed on. Didn't get that far in it yet.

    People have gone the 4x4 V6 4th gen 4Runner swith route. A couple threads here on it.

    Seen them. Too clunky looking imo.

    Consensus was the 2012+ knob arrow is all you can light up which isn't too helpful. Since as you found the text is just printed not transparent.

    4Runner switch also costs like $70 too so just depends on how much you want that knob lot up.
