2014 NCAA Football Thread

I know it's only Tuesday, but I'm already getting excited for the UGA v. Tennessee game. I take the LSAT at 8am, so I'm probably going to miss the first quarter or two. Anyway, Todd Gurley didn't get to play against Tennessee last year due to an injury, but his Freshman year, he had 41 carries for 402 yds and 2 TD's; that's going to be tough to beat! Also, Freshman RB Sony Michel was named the SEC Freshman of the week last week. Georgia is a 17 point favorite, but Tennessee, like SC, ALWAYS plays decent against Georgia, so I'm not going to do all the gloating I did pre-SC because that backfired lol.

GT has a bye this week, so I can't root against them…although, it's not doing much good because the lucky bastards are 4-0! They're gonna get lucky and wind up in the ACC Championship if Virginia or Pitt can't beat them…..that really chaps my ass haha

The only upset I'm hoping for this week is Missouri v South Carolina. (Sorry, Cocks fans….it's just business )

 

Much like the Braves in the post-season, if by some chance we make it to the ACC championship, we will for sure f it up... not hating on my alma mater, just being realistic

 

Haha when y'all beat VT this past week, I was like, "shit, these guys are contending!" Sadly, if y'all do make it, you'll play against FSU, which will be quite the show lol. Sorry for the hate, but after being with my fiancée and her family for almost 6 years, they've driven me to such hatred.

Where were they when Nick Fairly lit up Aaron Murry? Where was the SEC when Mettenberger assaulted a woman at UGA? Where were they when Hill sucker punched a guy? What about all of those Aggies arrested in the offseason? Whether or not Day intentionally did it, there should be some level of consistency here when it comes to punishment.

 

With the exception of the Fairly/Murray incident, nothing else was during a game.
