FWIW... I always premise with "The twitter machine" says, so that people will understand the source. If I want to KNOW something, I find it elsewhere.

I guess you're not on twitter? I made fun of it pretty hard for a long time. I called my buddies on it little girls. But one of my friends told me to just sign up for a week and follow a few accounts (he suggested) and I've been on ever since.

Honestly, one of the things I find most interesting about it is watching during big, national events (sports, cultural, political, disaster, etc.). It's really interesting to watch information (and misinformation) get disseminated.

He's just in a lather b/c it's OU week, and as much as he wants Texas to win, he knows what's coming.

I'm starting to think I'll be in a similar mood the week of the Iron Bowl........

I'm worried as well. Should be a hell of a fight.

Knock down drag out fight til the end.

It's quite possible the winner of this game will be SEC champs.

Well, now that the fact Gurley isn't playing against Mizzou tomorrow has set in, I'm still optimistic. Chubb can handle the workload; he's averaging 7.2 yds per carry for a total of 224 so far this season, which isn't that bad, considering he's not the #1 go-to guy. Gurley and Marshall were both out last year against Mizzou and, although they lost 21-46, they had many issues last year that they don't have this year. IMO, their only issue this year (aside from Gurley's troubles) is the weak secondary. They've got Douglas as the back-up man tomorrow and he's only got 47 rush yds, but he hasn't played much at all, so we're not exactly sure what he's capable of.

The situation we're in right now reminds me of the 2011 season when Caleb King couldn't play b/c of academic problems and freshman RB Isaiah Crowell stepped up and shined. I'm hoping something similar happens with Douglas and Chubb.

Georgia's still predicted to get the win, so hopefully they will. If not, at least we'll have a good excuse.

Anyway, there's my wishful thinking

Just read more on that. I am starting to have very mixed feelings about Mr. Gurley...

However, there's some talk going around Athens that Gurley feels like he was deceived by UGA's lawyer into coming clean and may walk away since the school sold him out.

That's just a rumor at this point, but if that happens, McGarity and probably Richt should lose their jobs.

Or he can start a Texas football thread! Of course he'll be the only one in there arguing with himself. That would be adorable to watch!!!!

Yep, same thing going around Athens. He is gone. Good riddance. Mr. Gurley is now dead to me.

Yep, he gone. That sucks. Hell of a career to have it end like this. His YPC average is .1 yard behind Bo.

Mr Chubb, the future is now. Let's see what you can do.

Why? Because he tried to make money off of his own name while the NCAA, UGA, ESPN, et al made millions from him? Come on man. Yea, he made a stupid mistake. But that seems a little ridiculous.
