2014 NCAA Football Thread

I typed a response that was way off the deep end, while mostly accurate, it was too far. It's a huge sign of disrespect though. I mean Oregon may look good but they don't play anyone either and they have a loss.

 

To me, Oregon has the edge by the margin that they're beating people right now. They had a bunch of injuries when they lost and they lost to a good team. FSU just doesn't look that hot right now.

Also, there's a ton of football to be played. No use trying to sweat it.

 

Can't really use injuries here though because FSU has had worse injury luck this year than any other year I can remember in a long time.

 

One of very few times myself and a Clemson fan agree on anything.

 

Some of it may go back to conference perception too. Even the the PAC 12 isn't great, I think the consensus is that it's better than the ACC.

You missed the word "either"

 

that was my guess for why others would rank them higher. My reasoning is the way each team is playing right now and Oregon is soundly beating a bunch of scrubs while FSU struggles to beat their share of scrubs.

 

Oregon still lost at home when they were a three score favorite. Also Bama should be ranked ahead of them imo.

 

Will be interesting if Alabama beats Miss St where Miss St will end up

 

They have to get past Ole Miss still too.

 

The committee doesn't like Oregon. They know whenever the ducks are ranked high they choke. This is their way to say get the quack out of here.

 

The seed doesn't matter. If you're #1 or #4, it doesn't matter. Keep winning, and you'll stay in the top 4 and get a chance to prove you belong in the playoffs.

Honestly, this committee seems to be going a lot off of style points. FSU isn't dominating people. They're winning, but they look awful doing it for the most part.

Just win, and there's no way they take you out of the top 4. Stop crying.

 

So I guess we should have just lost to Louisville so we would have a "quality loss" vs a middle teens ranked opponent and the same number of wins vs ranked opponents.
