Matt, you aren't a real Bammer unless you do this. Take your daughters to the spring game. It is mandatory.

Thanks, guys. She's doing pretty well in there. All of her cardio test came back with positive results, so it looks like there's nothing wrong with her heart.

The initial reason she went to the NICU is that she wouldn't "pink up" - which means she wasn't getting enough oxygen. That's why they had to put her under a hood (in the pic in the linked post). We just got back from the NICU and she's already out from under it and her oxygen level is consistently above 96, which is great - they want it to be above 88.

Her breaths per minute is the next hurdle. She was holding steady at about 100/minute. 30-60 is normal, but the nurse said the last time they measured it she was actually right at 60, so it looks like she's doing better on that, too.

With those improvements came a minor setback... her bilirubin level is elevated, which is pretty common, but it means that she's under some pretty bright lights for the night.

They'll do another Xray tomorrow and see how her lungs look, but everything is looking good so far.

    Awesome news bud.

As a father of 2 little girls....child birth is amazing and scary as fuck!!!!!

Not sure if they are coming out correctly if cord is wrapped around them, etc.

When both my girls were born and 100% healthy and all went perfect .... I cried like a little bitch.

It's an amazing deal that I wouldn't trade for ANYTHING.

    Congrats Matt!

I wasn't stressed really when my son was born but everything went pretty smoothly in terms of the birth. But I did kinda freak for a minute because when the dr said it was time my mother in law had went down to the waiting area to make a phone call. She wanted to be in the room and I couldn't get her on the phone to tell her. So I started down to get her just when the fire alarm went off. As I went through a door I remembered the hospital telling us that in emergencies the doors would lock down and nobody could go in or out so I was like oh hell no! But went back to the room and the doors weren't locked. Turned out to just be a drill. I was afraid I was locked out from being there for my first and most likely only childbirth.

My wife is a trooper I have to say. She never yelled and breezed through it as easily as could be expected. I was nervous beforehand as I could hear the screams from other rooms though.

    Congrats!

I can't believe how much I have changed as a person, since my daughter was born. We aren't currently preventing at the moment. So hopefully I'll have a son running around here in the next 9-10 months. It's pretty awesome being a dad, and watching their little brains develop. Crazy how wicked fast they catch on to stuff and learn.

You see the "fight" in the UF/FSU baseball game? Jameis tried to get in the middle of it.

Hasn't Meyer been recruiting heavy in Florida and other southern the past few years? It wouldn't surprise me if he owns the Big 10 the next few years because of it. Not like there is anyone there that can really challenge him besides Mich State.
Lol. I'm surprised the Florida fan even wanted an autograph from him.

Yep. I heard he was basically trying to recruit like he was at an SEC school. Makes sense. I'm sure he's still got ties to the programs he was recruiting at UF.

    Head unit. That's it.

It will give the players a "voice". To what they can use it for depends on the university I suppose. I'm sure they will lobby for pay, or better living conditions, since they make the university money. Eventually, they will ask for so much, and the university wont be able to pay it, and then they wont have a football team. Much like the city of Detroit.
