The same shit everyone else has.
Ill snap some when I get a chance.

Yep, both USBs work for me. I keep an iPod in the glove box with hooked up to the one USB, itll charge the iPod and play from it. The dashboard USB charges a phone no problem, and it will let you play music from it as well.

    Yep

Yep. you have to select the source. Ill try to get pictures of what comes up on the radio

    This

"You can make a list of number of parts you bought?"

The list of all the parts is on the first page.

    Cheers

Looks good. So to confirm you had to buy the bezel AND a 2012 - 2015 4*4 switch?

Can someone post a current link to the Flush mount USB Aux 3.5mm headphone jack mounting panel dashboard dock input lead? I see a couple on Ebay, I just want to make sure I get one that fits the dash without needing to cut the dash. Thanks in advance.

I got the AUX/USB dash bulkhead from the guy I bought the HU from, so I bought the OEM USB adapter from the first post PN PT546-00120-US but it seems way too short (I used my finger for reference lol ) (I'm returning it).

What you got was the USB conversion adapter used on the Scion radios. The foam indicates that this adapter plugs into the Scion's wiring harness.

This document, pages 2 & 5 explains all of this.

That's cool - just used the part number the OP has on the first page.

Do you happen to have the correct part number to use the with Tacoma?

The easiest thing to do, is to keep the adapter you got, and get the eBay USB port that would plug into that adapter.

Awesome Write up! So I bought all the cables but Im stuck on the AUX side and possible the back up camera. I tryed to look through all the forums but I didnt find the answer or I didnt understand the answer.

    I have a 2013 touch screen Non Navi/ Non XM 86140-04080
Im trying to retro fit into a 2005 SR5 Tacoma, No Factory AUX, no Streering controls.

    BT works
    CD works
    Radio works
    USB Works (charging my android)
    AUX- Im confused

My issue is this I bought the Steering controls thinking it had a prewire AUX 3.5mm jack. Well it came with it off some black connector..but also had RCA off the main connector. I can use that with the AUX/USB surface mount I bought. But I ended up with 2 female connectors. But i noticed that the 20/28 pin has those same color cable coming out. Can i just scrap the harness and splice the Red/black/White wire togeather? OR am I missing a cable? 20150724_171728.jpg20150724_171617.jpg

Also with this radio will IT show a aux source when there is one plugged in? Right now i see nothing on my screen for AUX.

Great writeup. I have a question regarding GPS. I have a '14 Tacoma and added the factory NAV unit from FLtrucks. I installed the included navigation antenna. I'm routinely having no GPS lock and NAV not showing correct position on map. Has anyone else seen these issues? One thing I was wandering is my uint also has the sat radio, for Tacomas with sat radio installed is there already a GPS antenna up top with the sat antenna? If so would connecting the small navigation GPS antenna cause a conflict?

Does anyone know if the oem Bluetooth mic that's built into the mirror will work with this setup? I have a non jbl system but I swapped a Bluetooth rear view mirror in when I accidentally cracked the regular one. I'm not sure if the wiring is there if I don't have the JBL system.

This thread is awesome! Thanks to everyone who has contributed and shared photos and experiences so far!

I'm looking to install a 2012+ JBL radio (with or without navigation) into my 2009 TRD 4x4 Tacoma with JBL radio and Bluetooth. I was hoping someone who has done this could PM me with a comprehensive list of parts (and OEM part numbers) I will need to make it happen? I will post the list I've put together so far below but I know I have to be missing some stuff... I will say that after reading through most of the posts here and looking at the pictures others have posted, I've decided that I definitely want to replace the center console bezel with the 2012+ bezel and the new 4x4 switch. I'm open to replacing my Climate Control unit as well if the newer black version can be had at a decent price. Anyway, here is my list of parts so far:

    1) OEM Toyota 2012+ Touch Screen JBL Radio (with or without Nav)
    2) OEM Toyota 2012+ Center Console and Radio Bezel
    3) OEM Toyota 2012+ Clock/Hazard/Airbag Assembly
    4) OEM Toyota 2012+ Radio Mounting Brackets
    5) OEM Toyota 2012+ Navigation Antenna (depending on the new radio)
    6) OEM Toyota 2012+ 4x4 Switch
    7) OEM Toyota 2012+ Climate Control Module (possibly)
    8) AM/FM Antenna Adapter
    9) 20/28 Pin Harness Adapter

The real question marks for me involve what it's going to take to hook the OEM 2009 Bluetooth and Steering Wheel control wiring to the 2012+ radio as well as the XM radio functions. My current 2009 JBL radio has an XM module and I'm paying for a subscription to use it so I definitely want to be able to maintain that functionality on the new radio. Does anyone know if I'm going to need an adapter to hook my 2009 XM antenna to the newer style radio? Also, is there anything else I'm missing from my list?

Thanks in advance for your help!

There's a ton of info in this thread for you to build your kit on. That said I think the list you have is pretty complete. Start swiping that charge card!
