Hello all, I have a 2008 and will be installing a 2014 non-JBL non-Nav touchscreen unit. Im going to be installing it with the 20-28 pin adaptor, bluetooth mic, and antenna adapter. No plugs for satellite or Nav so not worried about it. I dont have a backup camera installed at all, can someone recommend a backup camera? Don't care if its aftermarket or factory, as long as it plays on the radio.

    What did you go with?
I got a camera source pop and lock kit with interface kit to match the 2017 head unit I’m installing. Damndest thing, the head unit will not pick up the camera when I go to reverse. I’ve confirmed w/ camera source I’m doing all correct, even have hooked up power to head unit, but sent video to a tv to confirm the camera is powered and working. I just hard wired the reverse trigger to the #2 pin in the 24 pin harness, but damn HU will not switch over. Everything else in my install has been perfect, but this.

After market 12 volt camera works when powered to a tv but not on head unit used the factory harness to aftermarket camera adaptor thought this was gonna work pretty easy but out of ideas using a 2015
HU non nav in a base 2006 manual

Ahhhh, this was the thread I was hoping to find. Just starting my journey. So nice to have all this in one spot.

I’m sure it has been answered but I’m tempted to try a 2012-2015 bezel if it fits better. I don’t like the silver anyway.

@JustinL and @steveh_2007, if I’m capable of reading, you both went to 2012-2015 outer radio bezels? If so, did either of you have the key switch to disable the passenger airbag? And if one of you did, what did you do for that guy?

I think others have suggested stuffing it in the dash which is my plan. I hate my silver bezel and want to go black but stalled on an old style one w shaving like OP vs a new style one and ditch the airbag disable mounting spot.
