    Thanks.

Last year Cody was running a spring under kit. I know he wheeled a bunch of trails last year.

These are not great videos, but they show him doing hell's gate and the escalator. Granted he has a TC +2 Kit and Dual shocks up front. I don't remember what he was running in the rear besides the fact that his leafs were under the axle... and that was the first tacoma I saw in person that had them.

... so my point is watch my videos because it is semi-related! :p

Yeah, I'm not saying they can't crawl. Jason does it. But an LT leaf kit is just not ideal for rock crawling. As Jason said in another thread, it is just hard to have the best of both worlds. There are always trade offs. Hell just going from SOA to SUA you are trading downtravel for uptravel alone.

And as Mark and I said earlier. Hell's isn't that hard of a trail, even escalator and hell's gate are fairly easy obstacles.

Those are pretty bad examples of the downside to spring under. Nothing to get hung up on. Trails like rusty nail and cliff hanger have more ledges and big rocks, unlike hells where it's all smooth, but steep

It's ok dude, the road out to totw, by Gemini bridges, and kane will put a smile on our faces. Gonna use all 20" of your shitty crawling travel.

Just gotta watch so we don't head on people.

Yep! And the dunes are like right across the street from The road to BFE or something aren't there? If my wife goes I'd like to try to do White Rim in a day. I seem to recall lots of wide open flat-ish road out there, but I'll have to be hauling ass to cover the 90 miles in a reasonable amount of time plus have time to stop at look at things along the way.

You gonna jump your truck like Silas?

Off topic some more, but I just did some digging and he is running the Defined Engineering SUA kit. Which is supposed to pull 14" of travel but so far no one has been able to get the kit to pull those numbers (so all the LT guys call it a mid travel kit since most have only seen 12" from it)... It uses the stock leaf hangers so the leaf pack has a ton of arch to reach under the axle. So much arch that Mike at Defined seemed pretty convinced that if you hooked the leaf pack on that kit you would do it with SOA as well (ie you don't have to worry about hurting the leaf pack). Cody did do a shackle flip on it though which is pretty awesome! I hope he makes it out again. I'd like to check out his setup!

    ...too much shit to list.
Keep in mind everyone running that kit is using the stupid rubber bumps. Mike's kit is defined to bump AT the frame, not below the frame. Hence why everyone is 2" shy. I personally don't like the kit, but don't blame the lack of travel on the kit.

Haha building to jump, weighs over 6000 pounds.

    Your truck is still confused.
Blah, I won't go that fast. You can trust me ;)

And no. I'm not that brave. Plus I don't hardly have the power to even make it to the top with speed let alone fly off.

I see. That makes sense. Seems like a lot of the problems stemmed from people trying to run different sized shocks from what I saw. I don't recall reading anything on the bumps, but the kit was still pretty new when I was looking into it.

All true statements. I might of had the smallest truck in Moab last year and I did Hells, 7 mile, and Top of the world.

Edit: Just saw all the other posts.

I wasn't saying they were good examples of crawling, I just wanted to point out the truck that I was talking about.
