Ill gladly be the first one to test your pile o crap. I was just saying it us unnecessarily steep because climbing to the top is not happening for 99% of people. my vote is lower it a bit haha

haha yeah I was going to mention that I think most vehicles aren't going to make it that high anyway lol.

The goal of the RTI ramp if I recall, is that you're supposed to get to the same height on the ramp as your wheelbase without lift a tire. Though...I'm not sure if the fact that it has two separate angles on the ramp if that will skew it. Otherwise just for posing lol

its all about measuring the droop of the truck

its like everyone flexing on the same rock to compare suspension set ups, its just the most consistant way to do it.

the more droop/articulation your rig has the further you can make it up the ramp before you lift tires

Ah, then you start to tip and that's not good going over stuff.

well tipping and 3 wheeling is a usual occurrence because we have shit ifs up front. when on the obstacle you just have to know how far is too far, in which case you try a new line, but if you start to tip it means you have lifted a tire and you have gone as far as you can go.

like here, this would be like backing up to an rti ramp, but the ramp is a rock. if the rock kept going higher eventually i would 3 wheel it and then i would be out of suspension. but notice how all 4 are still on the ground? I could have gone further but i ran out of rock. I know at full droop i have almost 12" of shock shaft exposed...that does not look like 12" so i know i had more to go before i lifted a tire

Wow, I know my back end can't flex like that. That's impressive, hell I don't know what my truck can do. I have the all-pro expedition leafsprings with Bilstein 5100s. It's a nice ride but I really don't know what it can do. I do know I tor apart the shocks that were on the back. I just don't remember how much they cost. They are camburg something or other. Maybe rebuild able maybe not, I changed them out and kept them.
Oh that reminds me I need to re check my bolts for torque this weekend.

I kidda did build it for posser pics but at the same time it can be fun to know where you stand among other trucks and that will kinda give you an idea of how well you will do on some of the trails.

    never a bad idea.

i built them to be very adjustable so ill make em more mellow for every so they can be happy and less scared. But if anyone wants grip tape on it i suggest you buy it and put it on when you get there.

What if you just cut rectangle holes in the ramp like the real ramps have so there is something to grab? It would that cut up tires? Or! Weld on cross pieces of angle iron to it so it has something to grab

what about me not putting any more time or money into it did you miss?

Edit: those used to be my old 4wheeler ramps and i drove it up into the bed of my old truck so that was about 40" off the ground with no extra traction. tires grip just fine. Though ill admit sand may make it more slick but just keep your vingina away from it and sand wont fall out of it and onto the ramp:stirthepot:.
