I'll be looking you up to follow you to some fun, yet challenging, trails that I won't need to buy a new truck when I get home. Sounds like a perfect mix for me!! We can wheel and have a nice truck to drive to the BBQ joint in the evening!!

    Watching this all closely.....

Every single accident I've ever seen on a trail where someone got injured involved drinking. And yeah I've seen a few. Every one of them could have been avoided. There's a reason why some people call booze "liquid courage". Even one of these types of accidents is too many in my book.

Drinking or not, accidents can happen, I'm not trying to say its the only cause of any problems. But, the simple fact is there is less chance of making a poor decision that's going to put someone in a bad spot when alcohol isn't involved.

For the record, I don't have one single problem with people drinking. You do what you want to do, all I ask is that you wait till you're back at camp. Like Eric said, there's no way to enforce it. It's simply a request out of respect that is hopefully treated with similar respect.

If I'm on a trail with others and I make a stupid decision because I've been drinking and someone else gets hurt, that's unacceptable. Just like drinking and driving on public roads IMO. There are others around you that you can injure. If you want to wheel on your own, go for it and get as blasted as you want. Just don't put me or someone else at risk.

I have to agree. Drinking and off roading don't mix. I enjoy off roading I don't need booze to make it fun...

seriously dude im canadian, I bring Lurry the canadian cable guy with me generally, and WE CAN put the beer down for 8 to 10 hours, I hate to say a few of us like to be able to drive the long trips home knowing A no one was hurt B no one received major damage

we had an incident two years ago where the texans took it too far guess what.... we just didnt care to be around them at that point.... hell I bring down some canadian whiskey and get people blackout drunk

BUT if you cant put a beer down for 8 to 10 hours.... really... I dont mind the occasional beer on the trail, BUT when its hot out and we just spent 6 hours fixing your junk because your dont "light footed" I wont be a happy camper

Im with Adam on this, sometimes its easier to just keep the beer away for a few hours and know the attention to detail is there

and I BY NO MEANS am a guy known to put a drink down hell, when I rolled into camp last year and I broke my shit pulling into camp, and everyone flooded in to fix my truck, mainly because it was an awesome break, someone passed me a drink to taste and it was down in two second flat, and if your a good little boy hahaha maybe youll get some canadian whiskey and some BC bud ;)

Nobody wants to see me cry after I cave my bed in. :anonymous: haha but seriously I try to avoid body damage on mine haha

What are you trying to say?

And x2 with box rocket. We get tired of trying to help people with spotting too when they are trashed. They just don't listen. We gave up on this guy with a brand new FJ and that thing was beyond damaged.

He got an ear full too because we were up there doing a massive trail cleanup run and he threw a beer bottle out right in front of us.

have fun! konsta is one of a kind to wheel with haha!

its tradition by now. i would like to join in on the hells fun again
same thing. ill be there a day early to warm up and just have a fun trail ride
jace, bob and batman are of course very good and will get you through safe and sound! and they will also tell you honestly when you should think twice
mike's girl friend walked up the gate in his open/open dclb, where all of us 1st genners fucked it up. dont even need lockers for it haha
you have to try it too maam!
thats better! accept that it will get damaged a little bit and have some fun!
i got up escalator with no drama, and flopped all over hells gate, its a toss up, both do have serious chances for disaster though if you arent careful
bull shit. you dont need a cage, good lord :p

dont take it so serious, this is the internet after all. we can tell how you want it to come across. we are just adressing it because what adam said is absolutely true. moab is rock crawling. you need a light and steady foot and finesse to make it up the hard stuff. I had a lead foot on hells gate and looked like a moron! moved the seat a bit closer and drove a little more gently and had no problem on escalator

it got fixed then we broke it again. you boys got pretty drunk while the camp fixed the truck :p
youre from texas...its bound to happen!

bring me some apple pie eh?

I kind of missed this before.

Hope you are ready to wheel man! Konsta doesn't wheel light trails by any means. He has miles of clearance and is locked front and rear, even I am going to have a damn hard time following him, but I plan to wheel a shit ton with him. Hell probably most of time I'm there will be with him.

We live like 2 minutes from each other and yet we have only snow wheeled together like twice. Have yet to do any real rock crawling together... haha
