I'd like to do Hell's for sure and possibly Kane's Creek since I haven't got to do it yet either. I'm down for Cliff Hanger also.

I always do the welcome hells run (will probably have beers in tow this time :anonymous:)

but you konsta and i for sure need to do cliff hanger. we can pick up a few other interested parties as well, but i would prefer if the group didnt get over like 8, and thats a fairly experienced 8.

kane, honestly id rather ride with you and your almost LT status. we would certainly need to be up front lol. that trail is much more fun fast, and i hate mobbing fast in my truck lol

Elephant Hill has some fun mobbing! but I don't think I want to make that drive all the way out there just for that... I'd like to run a trail or two with Batman as well! So I'll have to see what all he wants to do.

Did you end up doing CliffHanger last year?

OK guys, I need some words of wisdom to help me pick trails, as this is my first trip to Moab. I would say I have lots of off-road experience but I've never rock crawled at the level shown in your videos.

Here's a quick breakdown of my Tacoma:

TKO Wheel w/ BFG KO 33's, Volant CAI, Safari Snorkel, 3" lift, All-Pro Full Skid Underarmor, CBI Moab 2.0 Front Bumper, DerpWerx High Clearance Rear Bumper, BAMF Kickout Sliders, King Resi 700# Coilovers on front and King Resi shocks on rear, OME Dakar Leaf Springs w/ U-Bolt Flip, DerpWerx Bedrack.

With all the listed trails, I'm absolutely confused on which to plan for. My rig is my DD but I'm not afraid to have a good time and understand damage is virtually inevitable. Any suggestions or direction on what I should be initially looking at would be awesome. Thanks in advance!

I have only been once, but I was surprised with how well my rig did. I did Kane creek, fins and things and top of the world. I think your biggest limiting factor would be your tires. Your setup is close to mine and you might have more experience than me. There will be great spotters and you are well armored, so I don't think breakage is inevitable. Do you have the factory e locker? Where have you done most of your wheeling?

Hell's Revenge is a great trail for everyone! With your setup you could pretty much join any group you want and be just fine (unless that group is all solid axle guys on tires bigger than 35's haha).

No lockers though? The lack of lockers might hold you back some, but as long as you are not afraid to take a strap you should do just fine on most any trail that any of the rigs in here have said they want to do/have done.

No Lockers… I've spent so much money on getting what I consider the Moab minimum that lockers probably won't happen prior to June. That was my biggest concern.

There's a chance of locking the rear before I head west, but I can't bet on it right now.

Lockers are not a deal breaker at all. Hells and fins are both very doable. Kane creek has some pretty sandy spots with less traction but the slickrock trails will have very few places where you will actually wish you had one. And yeah, money is definitely easy to spend, but you have made good choices on what you have put on so far

Having even just a rear locker can help a lot, but lucky for you most of the trails in Moab are pretty sticky so you can still do a lot of trails without any lockers.

You're rig is built pretty much identical to mine.

Fully armored on 33's with some aftermarket suspension.

The only differences really are that I am locked front and rear, and you have more lift than I do.

Here's a vid that will make you feel better about doing Moab. A lot of the vids that have been posted lately are of some of the much harder trails.

dude that derpwerx rear will get you through helldorado and smashing pumpkins based on that fact alone :D

in all seriousness, if you had a rear locker you could easily take on trails up to 8or so (or should i say your rig can) without the locker you just need more speed, which is not always a good idea or doable.

but still. i would not be worried about doing anything up to an 8. you have the clearance for most everything and all the armor to protect it. I would certainly suggest kane creek. there is the terrifying factor of driving on the side of a cliff, and with your suspension the wash section will have you grinning ear to ear. hells is another fun one, with multiple lines all over the place to take easy or harder lines. then of course hells gate and escalator is a must do if you are confident. not hard, but real consequences if you dont pay attention.

fine but youre packing one of my nampa shafts cuz i wont run that horilleys shit.. oh and cliff hanger is already on the list son..

at least one locker will make moab 90% more doable like that extra shot befor a fat chick takes you home.

it's getting done. question is who's doing it with me.
