Has anyone had experience with the Slick Rock campground in Moab? I'm heading down for EJS and booked a double tent site for 6 days. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Yea I read about that....I don't plan on breaking ("knock on wood") but hey...you never know right. I do know however Slickrock is rig repair friendly. I'm sure to a certain extent, but if it's pulling an axle or driveshaft that's pretty easy.

I was just more concerned about amenities, what the campsites are like and so forth. I know boxrocket had mentioned Slickrock and another one...canyon something? In another thread. I'll be camping for 6 days haha. Man I can't wait!

Haha ya me to, I started looking at hotels. Ha...ya right. To my surprise there were quiet a few campsites left. We actually picked a nice double tent site in the far back corner. So hopefully it'll be someone peaceful!

Slickrock campground and Canyonlands campground will both allow reasonable repairs to your truck while in the campground. They probably won't be down with an engine overhaul but I've seen just about everything else.

Those are the only two campgrounds that I'm aware of in Moab that are that friendly to wheelers. I usually stay at Canyonlands because the showers etc are a little nicer and it's closer to stuff in town like the City Market etc.

But I'm staying at Slickrock at the beginning of May for Cruise Moab. I'm still up in the air for Rock Therapy.
