2014 Rock Therapy Trail Planning

I've been getting in some practice

been wanting to hit minor threat for a couple years now and it being in our backyard, an evening/night run needs to happen

 

lets do it!!

Rocky threw out a list of trail and im gonna kinda wake up and go what do you guys wanna do today while we do breakfast then we are off to wheel sounds like the plan to me.

Any chance you have some waypoints for a few of those locations? just want to see if they're still doable in the short time the group doing the Kokopelli has.

 

a lot of the trail can be found on map 6 (24"x30" map) of the Moab BLM Travel Management system

i came in from the top left along FR163 by Cactus Rat Mine (see Map 7), into the Lost Spring Canyon, down to Winter Camp Ridge, then joined Dome Plateau, went through there then over to Dewey Bridge where you can see the Kokopelli's Trail with Top of the World offshoot, optional canyon route, Rose Garden Hill..then where Onion Creek came in, we went south and took Thompson Canyon/FR100 past Polar Mesa and met up with Castleton Trail which continues on Map 3...then continued up to Porcupine Rim from La Sal Loop (west of Porcupine Draw)

 

Ok sweet... I'm trying to read through the trip report but work keeps inturrupting!

 

I'll be there in the 24th I'm thinking. I'll be rolling through Pocatello early morning on th 24th

Did you guys see this view from rusty nail? What an obstacle lol!

 

There is a group rolling out of Pocatello on the 24th. @rctoy @BradyT88 are headed down around that time. They will be meeting up with me and @thearkmaster in Provo, UT around 10am.

 

we'll have a tent setup for registration in the lower lot/camping area....unless we're all out at the trails still, there will be somebody around that area

sounds like a lot of us will be in wed/thurs....stop down thursday for a evening/night run up minor threat...then make plans from there

Yup. I knew what the obstacle was, just never saw it from that view

after we do that trail I could do nothing the rest of the week and be happy

 

So, what is the plan for trail run planning/signup? First come first serve signup sheets the night prior? All days to have signups available starting on ____ day?
