2014 roof top fading

    Is anyone having a paint issue with 2nd gen taco. I bought mine in 2016, so not sure if it was taken care of by the originalowner. It appears that the clear coat is going away.

    Common problem especially with the darker colors like black and blue.

    Mine is charcoal gray. Only solution this is a repaint.

    You could always do a wrap on the top. I have the same issue occurring with my 12. I think it just started happening last year. The paint on these trucks are trash. If you sneeze on them the paint comes off.

    You could paint it white
    easiest color to paint

    will reject heat better and look cool
    old Toyota 4x4's had a white roof for that reason (off roading in the sun)

    Haven't thought about a wrap, this is worth considering, thks for the idea. I would like to stick with the gray though.
