2014 Tacoma Outside Temperature Gauge?

OP, if you do manage to get some good results from the dealer, be sure to post for the other 14 owners. I suspect, however, that they will point to the "subject to change" stance. Doesn't hurt to try, though.

 

On my 14 w/Entune plus, I have an APPS button of course these apps are just the standard radio options mostly. One of the options is weather, once selected you can attempt to choose a town near you. I mostly get a choice of a town 100 miles away. The traffic option works the same way, poorly...

I just looked at my 2014 TRD SAC and it has the little gizmo probe mounted behind the grill. (no active mirror of course)

i'm pretty sure toyota removed the auto dimming rear view mirror to save money and they removed the over head console with out side temp and compass also to save money.

I also believe they removed it because they want people to buy the new ENTUNE services with its own weather and traffic apps....i'd rather just be able to look at my over head console than fumble through a touch screen that costs more money anyway

Turns out, reading your posts is a waste of time.

 

I work for a Toyota dealer. Toyota has just put out a bulletin that says they have mistakenly put an "outside temp guage" on the window stickers of 2014 Tacoma SR5 and TRD models. They are offering a $100 check to compensate for the issue. It has you sign the letter and faX it or mail it back. Also you can call Toyota Motor Sales at 1-800-331-4331.

 

A TSB? Where is it online?

Maybe it's just me, but $100 almost seems insulting. Replacing the stock mirror with one that provides outside temp and compass costs close to $200 just in parts.

 

I have the new 2014 dbl cab with limited package and it does not have temp.gauge. Dealer gave a shot fixing it no go. Wiring not compateble .Sticker Says it has one. Called Toypota.

 

x2 corporate is becoming asshole-ish....hopefully GM will strike the fire under Toyota's ass when that badass Colorado hits the lot.

I actually agree with you on that. Healthy competition is always good though I don't personally believe the Colorado stands a chance. But... If there isn't anything to compete with there is no incentive to make things better.
