I have a 2014 Prerunner 2x4, (not 4 wheel drive and a 4 cyclinder rear wheel drive.) When I lightly apply the brakes, like when I'm in my driveway or in a parking lot, I hear this light metal
klunky rattle type noise. I only hear it at real slow speed like when I'm parking or backing up and applying the brakes.
Took it to 2 dealers and they both say it's a common problem with the brake pads on Prerunners. Might be a common problem, but there should be a common fix too. Anybody else have a problem like this and know of any answers? I still have a few months on the warranty.
    Thanks guys,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Steve

it is not just pre-runners, they all do it. It has to do with the pad readjusting or something based on direction. Something like that.

Wow,,,,,you guys are fast. Thanks for the info. No modifications. Basically just a transportation truck and some light hauling.
The dealers said something like the directional change too. There should be a fix for that.
I've never had a noise like that in any vehicle I've owned. My 2005 Tacoma Base model didn't make this noise either.

There is something about changing pins in the calipers or something, but nothing is actually wrong with it.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Guess I'll turn the radio up and just live with it.
When I get new tires, I'll have the pads checked and see if maybe they can quiet
    them down. Later,,,,,,,,,,,, Slats
