Looking for some suggestions. Our touch screen stereo stopped working. When you start the truck you can see the glow of the screen but it remains blank. If you put it into reverse the back up cam comes on and works fine but the radio will no longer power up.

We have removed the battery and drained residual power and hooked it back up hoping it would reboot it but no luck.

We checked the radio 1 and radio 2 fuses both are intact.

Any other suggestions before we take it in to a car audio specialist?

    Thank you

My suggestion would be don't bother fixing it.

Either find a PnP OE unit (cheap) to replace it with where someone else upgraded (like in our marketplace)

Or install an aftermarket unit with the appropriate adaptation to retain all your control/camera features.

    Entune isn't all that.

My worry is that I purchase a new unit and that wont power up either. Do you know how I can be certain that it isn't a power issue?

Remove the unit and check the harness with a DVM.

if the cam still works, it's definitely a problem in the radio itself. It only has 2 fuses (1 for the constant power and 1 for accy power) so since it powers up enough for the cam, we know its getting power.

aftermarket will be the way to go for the money. You can get great units with tons of features for $350 these days, and a bit extra for parts to get all the factory features up and running.

    best buy, crutchfield, Amazon, etc

the radios themselves will pretty much all be compatible. you just want to make sure you get the correct wiring and mounting brackets and everything. best buy and crutchfield are the go-to's for that
