Hello everybody, I'm buying a 2014 Tacoma tomorrow night. It doesn't have a bed liner or cover are there any you guys recommend. Also any seat covers recommended. I'm also not looking to spend and arm or a leg on these after spending an arm and a leg on the truck itself. Thanks, and have a great day. (I'm new here so sorry if posting in wrong forum or if this is a common question already answered)

Bedliner is not required as it is a very tough plastic/composite bed although a bed mat would be desirable to have to keep things from sliding around.
    I can't recommend a bed cover as I don't have one.
Seat covers are nice if you want the seats to stay clean but not really a requirement.

Thanks. I'm in the painting business so i dont want to mess up the seats with a surprise speck of paint, that would give me a heart attack if messed them up. Also i just like the look of a bed cover and I guess i don't really need a liner or mat.

A liner isn't really adding any benefit with a plastic bed other than maybe for you keeping paint off the bed if you plan on selling the truck in the future, a bed mat is almost a must if you carry anything back there because stuff slides around like crazy on the plastic bed.

If you’re expecting specks of paint on your seats due to your business, I’d get some cheap covers from the store

Oh I plan on keeping this truck until it falls apart at the seems. I might be carrying some stuff for work like ladders, but i could always secure em with bungees or rope.

bed liner... Amazon, cheapest one you find that fits.
seat covers... spend a bunch and get what the crowd likes, or, spend $25 and order the Costco Wetsuit seat covers... have them in three rigs. OH MY GOD! They don't protect! They do , and I clean up my messes.
    <-- 2014, my second...congrats

Yeah I'll probably hold out until summer to get a cheaper liner than the one Bishop84 suggested. Don't really want to get the same seat covers everyone else gets (although now that i think about it i don't know anybody else that has seat covers) And don't worry I'm not getting in my truck after work covered head to toe in paint, just it was impossible to get them out of my jeeps seats. after a long drive home.

Replace the weak interior lights with LEDs.
The tailgate is known to be flimsy. There are rigid tailgate liners to stiffen them.
Cleats for use on the rail in the bed are useful.

Oh yeah I plan to replace those interior lights. I think it already has cleats on them but I'm going to have to double check.

Coming soon - as I learn
    Greetings,

    Congratulations on the new-to-you Taco!
After researching the best selling, most popular and LIKED (Would buy again) tonneau covers, these three topped the list.
I went with the Truxedo TruXport ...
These are all for the 2005-2015 5' box 2nd Gen Tacoma's.

    #1
TruXedo TruXport Tonneau Cover @ $310
    #2
Gator SR1 Pro Roll Up Tonneau Cover @ $290
    #3(t)
TruXedo Lo Pro Tonneau Cover @ $500
    #3 (t)
TonnoPro LoRoll Tonneau Cover @ $270

The BAK Industries brand came up a lot, but didn't accumulate enough point in the three categories to rank in my unscientific research.

keep in mind as well some Trifold covers will use the bed rails and you will lose the ability to use them. if you are also looking to get a tonneau cover think about getting a locking tailgate as well. im of the opinion if you do get a locking tailgate dont swap out to a manual and go the powergate route where its tied to the internal power lock/unlock

FloorMats as well are a good investment, i went Husky and have been happy with them for the last few years

Keep a box of grafitti wipes in your truck. They have them at PPG.
