Just picked up a mirror kit from a vendor in another thread, so am excited to get the one thing that has been driving me crazy about the '14, no outside temp.

Rogerwh0, how did you run the temp sensor to the grille? I've seen where they go in another thread, but haven't looked at where the wiring comes through the firewall. Also don't know what to do to remove panels, snake, etc to get the wires from the mirror to under the dash. Can you give me any pointers?

    Thanks,

    Tom

I ran mine through the big rubber grommet that the main harness comes through. I put a small slit in the edge and pulled/put it right there. I can get a picture later. It looks really clean and keeps the cab sealed up.

After reading the e brochure It looks like they removed the rear view back up camera as well on the Off Road?

I was considering going for a 2014 and will still go see one in person to see if it would be worth it but - while it looks pretty similar to my 2011, It also looks like there might not be the -

Temp / Compass / Camera Feature on the rearview, and the Sub Woofer that came with the stereo upgrade in the 2011. Not really deal breakers, but those were pretty important items for day to day driving!

If that IS the case I'm probably going to wait until the 2015 comes out.

I just bought a 2014 and bummed about no outside temp but did come with auto dim. Did the 2013 come with entune or Bluetooth audio? I still can access the weather through the apps on the headunit.

My 2013 has the compass, outside temp, and rear view camera in the mirror with auto dim. The bluetooth audio was standard, but you could only get the entune system with the JBL and navi package.

It really bothered me when I got home and noticed no outside temp. I was so excited at the dealer that I didn't notice when I was there. But maybe later I'll install a rear view morrow with it but it nice having the back up cam in the headunit. Even my old 07 tacoma had out side temp :(
