I'm thinking about getting a 2013 DCLB but I'm not sure I want to invest in it until I know exactly when the redesign is. So I'm really looking for a 05-11 DCLB SWB to swap all my parts over until then

^ Would you really want to buy the first production year of a new truck anyways?

It wouldn't neccessarily be first production parts I.e. 3.0 l diesel from hilux or 3.5 v6 from camry/rav4 tuned for torque at lower rpms and matching trannys. Or possible the 5.7 from tundra. Just like most everything from the 05 was in the 03 4runner. Cosmetics are the only first year productions that would have to be made and not even that I suppose

I am betting that the 2014 Tacoma will feature the new or revised V6 that is introduced with the updated 2014 Tundra which will make its debut at this years Chicago Auto Show. I bet Direct Injection is standard and that the body style will stay the same for two more years before a re-design of the frame and body panels for the 2016 model year.

I'll believe it when I see it, and I hope the plastic skid plates are really ANCE like the bed and not plastic like somethin gm would do. 6spd auto would be cool but 7 spd mt would be mind blowing. In the next few years I see no more either half tons it miss size prolly a happy medium of the two and real full size.will be atleast 3/4 ton, since the line between the 2 is pretty blurry as is.

Cut & broke off stuff. Prolific ziptie and tape usage.

I agree. Ugly. And most likely will still be overpriced too.
