2014 Tacomas identical to 2013s

FYI for 2013 orders. Just got email from my dealer asking me if I would prefer a 2014 over my 2013 order of 7/17. They said today is the cutoff date for ordering 2013s and offered to change to 2014, for the one year newer model yr as a courtesy. There would be no delay in delivery time. They said they are identical in every way, specs, pkgs, options, colors, etc., including price - no $300 increase.

 

So whatcha gon' do?

 

Not sure - my first thought is to just leave it as is, since it's in the queue. On the other hand, it'll be 1 yr old before I get it.

 

Get a '14. Same truck, same price, model year newer means better resale. Check though to see if they will raise your APR if you are financing it.

 

1 year old isn't so bad when it's the same model year. I think you should get the 2014, just for the fun of being the first here to order a 2014 model (as far as I know..).

 

Get the 2014 with the diesel option

Good heads up, didn't think of that. Now I'll have to scramble, only got 3 hrs.

 

I may wait til 2015 for that!

 

Seems like build quality gets worse every year, get the '13.

 

It will be the same truck built by the same guys in either case - they just changed the 13 to a 14 on the order already in the queue, just a few minutes ago.

What with my luck, it'll show up mustard yellow instead of Spruce with a special new VSC, which can't be disabled with the Landphil mod.

 

Get the heated mirror option.

I think the new 2014s will have awesome rear springs, but the front springs and struts explode every 7 months.

 

Those aren't available til 2015.
