Morning guys. I want to buy a 2014 tacoma and I'm down to 2 options. First one is 2014 trd sport $32000,auto, 50 000km. The second one is 2014 trd sport $30000, manual and 100 000km. Both have been inspected buy dealers (not toyota) and the second one has a canopy and second set of wheels/tires. For the $2000 more would the first one be a better choice since it's got half the km? All my toyota buddies say the kms don't mean much, but I mean 100 000km is when problems start to surface. As I have never owned a Toyota before I don't know what's right or wrong. Currently I have a mazda with 98000km I drive an average of 8000km per year. What are your thoughts? Thanks in advance.

The Km's really aren't a problem here. Your only decision is whether you prefer the manual trans or the automatic. This assumes both are well looked after.

I've driven a manual for the last 13 years so I will stick with that. No pun intended. What about the price point? Are the 2nd Gens much cheaper in sask?

    This and that...
Well when it comes to selling down the road, you'll have 50,000 less miles on it for the next buyer. It could be more than $2000 back in your pocket.

Those prices are pretty much ball-park for here.
I payed $35K for my '15 TRD Sport two years ago at 30,000 Km. At the same time, I was also looking at a '14 M/T Sr5 that they wanted $32K for (38,000 km).
The '15 was near mint...the '14 not quite, but decent.

Thanks for the hasty responses guys. I'm pretty set on the manual and its pretty rare around here. As for resale Im planning to keep the truck til it dies. Thanks again and have a good one!

$32,000 Is that Canadian? That’s about what I paid new in 2014 (USD).
