What I like, is that it appears to be easier to modify into a Satoshi grille... Appearances may be deceiving though... but it APPEARS to be a great start to that end.

Probably harder than mesh I'd imagine. You'd probably have to cut it out and then recess it. And on that note you'd probably have issues with clearance of the headlights due to the 12+ headlight design, which is probably easier to get around with flat met opposed to the thicker stock grille dimensions. I'd imagine you can't recess it but maybe by a half inch max due to those constraints.

I just thought it looked easier due to having just one bar across the middle instead of the wider array that's in my 2014... Less to cut and fill on the ends. Still gonna have to work at it... just looks like less work in the long run. I have considered buying a spare grill and experimenting with several things for appearance... Just don't have the kind of room it takes to do fiberglass work in my powder coating garage...

I like it. I'm going to buy one as soon as I can. If it doesn't come with a white surround I'll paint it black like the one I have now.

I like the TOYOTA emblem in the middle.

...and like what I've been reading for people who are trying to get the Baja wheels, you'll need something silly like a police/accident/insurance report demonstrating why you need a new grille.

I totally get why Toyota does it (see how GM has done it wrong for many, many years, I could give tons of examples if someone doesn't follow me), but it's frustrating when you're on the other side of it.

Any word yet on availability of this grill, or a part number at least?

I'm guessing it'll be quite a while before you can find one.

Nice and pricey. Don't forget to ask your local dealer to take 15%-20% off whenever you are buying parts. My local dealers have given me discounts on parts for the last several purchases I have made.

For that price I'd rather have a deep lip satoshi like Geekhouse23 and JOHN_R1 have made and sold on here.

Any updates on when this will be available for purchase? Just called a dealer and the part number still didn't provide him with any insight. Thanks.
