Front 8" Clamshell 3.73 stock gears and Rear 8.4/8.25/8" Ring Gear NON-ELOCKER, stock 3.73 gears. Pulled at 28k from my 2014 TRD Sport, great for regear, all bearings still in great shape, no need for complete rebuild to regear or just use as core exchange. $350 plus shipping for the pair. I will drop them in a bucket each to ship. Core exchange is $400 each from ECGS. Below is the cursory photo.

Did you installed the LSD aftermarket? OEM was only until 08'.

    No it did not.

Electronic LSD came stock, which is a system that modulates the brakes to simulate an LSD. Toyota stopped installing LSD's in 2008.

Ok, so it is actually called Auto LSD, not electronic LSD. LSD is controlled through either clutches in the diff or at the brake end of the wheel. Thanks for your help and the free bump. I know your not interested in buying them so drop the maple curtain and bug off. Standby for the link to the OEM Toyota Sales Brochure that advertises such.

I'm pretty sure that CanadaToy is correct. Your truck has auto-lsd/trac. So does my '09 base model 4x4. That is a traction control system that actuates the brakes to limit wheel spin. It has nothing to do with the open differential in the third member you're selling. GLWS.

WTF are you trying to say to me? Don't tell me to bug off if you are lying about what you are selling. You are selling an open diff, NOT an LSD. Just saving any of your potential prey from mis-information.

BTW that brochure verifies what i have said, nice try buddy.
This brochure (from 2008) shows that Mechanical LSD's were an option. 2014 brochure no longer shows that. Auto LSD only. http://www.toyotacertified.com/ebrochures/08_tacoma_4x4.pdf

Here is a good description of Auto LSD vs Mechanical LSD http://texascarreviews.com/2009/03/auto-lsd-effective-standard-lsd-differentials/

Thank you, ad updated to reflect auto LSD. Never intended to deceive anyone and not trying to make a fortune off these. I am just trying to recoup monies from my regear. I am pretty sure there isn't another Tacoma rear axle this third member would fit that wouldn't have an auto LSD feature. Not sure of the Tundras but I usually handle clarification like this in a PM format as opposed to direct action in public. Thanks for all your help.

Canada Toy is trying to help you with an accurate listing and it seems you are overlooking his help. The third you are selling is simply an 8.4 open differential. Labeling it as any sort of LSD is mis-information and I would encourage you to change your description. The differential is fully open without any sort of LSD or locker present.

Your truck on the other hand has the ability to make any open differential act like an LSD - that control is NOT being sold with the differential so it does not apply. There are plenty of Tacomas and Tundras that this differential will fit that do NOT have the auto LSD feature. You are limiting your audience by making this differential sound unique when it is actually generic and could be used in any non-elocker Tacoma back to 96.

Free bump for a low-mileage set of open differentials.

Thank you, but I don't need any help selling. Those that regear or rebuild know exactly what this is and I only listed exactly as demonstrated by the manual. I am a very straightforward seller and always clarify everything prior to providing funding links. I do not need any explanations and fully understand the mechanics of an LSD.

I'm not going to resort to name calling, but if anyone in this thread is a troll, it's the OP (aka, you).

Thanks guys! @zippsub9 Would you be willing to split? I only want the rear if someone else wants the front. Otherwise I'll just buy both and have a spare I guess lol

I'll shoot you a PM and see what we can work out. The rear has been much more popular but I am trying to clear them out as a set.
