2014 vs 2015 Tacoma

I currently have a 2014 Tacoma double cab (model code GRN250L-PRADKA) With a V6 4.0L (1GR-FE) engine and automatic transmission (don't know where to locate the model# for transmission).

Was trying to find out if the same truck in a 2015 model year has the exact same engine and auto transmission.

I know there is a 4 cyl version but I'm only interested in the V6.

Does anyone know where to find this information and whether there is a reference sheet to decode what the vehicle model and engine/transmission model codes mean.

The A750F in the 2014 is the same as the A750F in the 2015
I believe 2012 - 2015 are the same

Yes, it's in the A series I believe . The Toyota a series transmission article on Wikipedia is actually a half decent source

Inside the driver side door. There is a sticker. On the bottom there is a AT code. Mine says A750

 

Gearchuncher, no nothing as drastic as needing another trans. I had an opportunity to get a bunch of 2015 service papers. Mines a 2014 so figured they were close but wasn't sure. Your thread on trans stuff looks really cool thou.

If you click on that thread , there is a bunch of service information at the bottom of the first and second post in pdf format . You will find overhaul manuals , Parts manuals , service bulletins etc etc .
