2014 Wet Okole GB - ended

Covers arrived on Friday. Spent a few hours yesterday installing them. Here are a few suggestions:

1 - Remove the front seats. Kudos to anyone who does an installation without removing the seats. Much easier with the seats out. All it requires is removing 4 bots, and cutting the electrical tape holding a couple of the wire harnesses.

2 - Use a needle-nose plier to help pull the neoprene down from the underside of the seat. This makes getting a clean finished look much easier.

3 - When reinstalling the front seats, there's a chance the mounting holes will not realign properly. I had this happen to me with the passenger seat. Couldn't figure out what happened. The solution is to try sliding the seat back and forth. Apparently when you slide the seat forward and back to remove the mounting bolts, there's a chance the mounts will get racked. This racking throws the holes out of alignment. By moving the seat back and forth, the holes move back into proper alignment.

4 - If you purchased the heating pads, make sure before you install the covers that WO matched the correct pad with it's cover. Each seat will have a heating pad which goes with the bottom cover, and the back cover. There are wire harnesses which connect to each other, which then lead to the 12V outlet. The wire harnesses are not identical. One is a single wire, while the other has two wire which come together with a "Y" connector. The single wire harness connects to the "Y" connector. In my case, the driver's side pads both had single wire harnesses. I didn't realize this until both the bottom and back covers were installed. I had to remove the back cover and replace it's heating pad with a pad from the passenger's seat.

Installation was relatively easy, with the exception of a few speed bumps. Love the covers though. Thanks Cody for setting this up.

 

For you that got heated seated seat option. Do these elements have two or three heat settings? Im going to buy my switches but need to know how many settings there are. Thanks

 

There are 3 settings on the heaters. On mine I put it at the highest level and it honestly didn't warm me up too much. So I think I'm going to just get a couple standard switches so that it's either on high setting or off.

Mine shipped last week but wet okole site isn't updated, still says stage 2 lol..

 

Anyone had theirs installed by wet Okole? Did you like how they installed the product?

Yeah, I had mine installed by WO, they did it in 20 min both front and back and didn't have to take anything out. When I first got in they had to settle but everything is snug and clean looking. Took care of my truck and the seats are awesome!

 

Just received the email from FedEx Tracking that mine have been delivered. So that means they're sitting on my front door step while it rains all day. And I won't get to leave the office until nine tonight.. Can't wait to get home!! Hope they're wrapped in plastic!!

 

Yeah, they're wrapped up. My invoice was damp in the box but everything else was bone dry.

 

Mine coming tomorrow! No signature required right? Hopefully They are waiting for me when I get home from work

 

Thanks man. Mine are being sewn right now. I'm hoping I get an early call to install them by Friday. Making a trip on Saturday and would like to have them for the trip.
