2015 4runner wheels and tires on 1st gen tacoma

I'm fairly certain that 285s with that offset will rub the UCAs. What is the offset or the backspacing of your current wheels?

 

currently have 15x8 -44 offset pro comp wheels with spc uppers, think ill need 1.25 wheel spacers?

 

An 8" wheel with a -44 mm offset give a lot of poke. If the new wheels have a +15 mm offset, the difference is 59 mm ( or about 2.3"). This means a lot less poke from the new wheels.

You will certainly have to run a wheel spacer to retain that poked out wheel look you have now. However, you may be able to get away without a spacer for tire clearance on your SPC UCAs. It;ll be close with a 285 mm width tire.

 

I just bought these same wheels from a 2017 4runner to put on my 99 Tacoma. Looks like the exact same set up.

However, I need to buy new lug nuts due to some significant rust on the old ones. Does anyone know if I need to buy anything different than the standard fit lug nut for the 1st gen Tacoma?
