Well, my iPad works great with USB and I finally got my phone to work with the aux cable. Chalk it up to my being technilogically challenged at the age of 61 :-/

How did you get it to work? I don't use bluetooth and I plugged my Samsung Galaxy Stardust into the AUX port (it shows on the screen as plugged in) but when I play music I hear it coming from the phone, it doesn't play through the speakers. Headphones work just fine with my phone. How do I fix this?

I ended up finding another cord. That one worked. Go figure, the original worked in a KIA.
