    Hello all!

Just purchased a white 2015 Base AC with the utility pkg (no rear seats). The truck did not come with many convenience options (no keyless entry, cruise control, intermittent wipes). I have tried searching the forums for answers specific to my model and have found a little information about cruise control, but I was wondering if I could get any specific answers regarding keyless entry. The truck has power locks, so I was wondering if getting the remote and programming would be all I needed to do, or if there was something else I needed to look for first (a receiver maybe?)

I bought this truck as a gift and am hoping to make it just a little bit nicer before Christmas time. In advance I'd like to say thank you, and I am glad I found such an awesome resource for questions and answers about the truck!

Hope all of you are having a great day,
    Riley

Welcome to Tacoma World. My 2015 Base AC 4x4 with the utility package does have power locks - but did not come with the remote key fob.

Count me as interested in finding out as to what is needed to enable a keyless entry system.

For example: the truck was prewired for a back-up cam and all I needed to do was install the camera. It would be great to learn that components are all there except for the remote fob.

Definitely do the intermittent wipers mod... can't remember exactly, but I think the new stalk was around $100, and about 15 whole minutes of "work". (I can't $#*%#$ believe they sell that truck without...)

I agree! Super irritating. Simple mod, I think I paid around $100 as well. I bought an SR so I got keyless entry, can't help you there. Other easy mods were OEM style backup camera from Rostra, truck is pre-wired. You can find an OEM fog light kit from southern state dealers. Easy. I also added a Gentex mirror with temp and compass from Bob's mirrors. Truck was wired for that too. Also cruise can be added if your patient enough, I added that to my MT 13 regular cab when I had it. From Rostra as well. My opinion was buy nice truck cheap and add the things I wanted. I like doing my own work.
