In for pics! I’ll admit though I like my engine bay looking super clean. :)

Regardless of the battery you get you may need to replace the stock hold down because it's not height/width adjustable. Some batteries may be just a little taller or wider even though they are the same group size. I had to replace mine with a universal rubber hold down.

If you are talking 27F, the NAPA 27F replacement was a drop in for me. No changes. Bolt it up; drive away.

The 27F Duracell I bought from Batteries+ (made by Deka) is just wee bit taller than stock and since one of the J hooks on the stock hold down is welded to the bracket and non-adjustable I couldn't get it to fit.

2019-02-08.jpg A group 31 battery will fit. I installed this G31 X2 battery in my 2015 DCSB with no problems. I needed to change the battery mounts drilled off the welded on J hook on the stock bracket.

Just to be on the safe side and kinda prepared for when I need to replace my battery, I measured it, wrote the dimensions down on a piece of paper and stuck it in my wallet.

Interstate makes great batteries and the CostCo price is nearly unbeatable.

    Thank you for contacting us.
Interstate Batteries is not a battery manufacturer. Our batteries are made to our specifications and our automotive batteries are made primarily by Johnson Controls. We do utilize other manufacturers as well.

For $28 bucks you can get the CNC aluminum hold down from OGE, off the grid engineering
Comes with longer j bolts as well

That looks like a much cleaner solution than what I’ll be able to offer. Though I know I’ll be happy with mine because I’ll really enjoy getting to make it.

I bought my 2015 Taco CPO mid December. I took it to the dealer for 50K service. They told me my battery was low. I checked it myself and it was at 50%. I figured with as cold as it's been in NJ this year I may as well get a new battery. I went to Auto Zone and got the Duralast Platinum. It was about $200.00. Fits in perfect, but I don't notice any difference in starting from the battery that was in there, but I have a brand new battery.

not sure if the mods can merge these threads, but posted this in the other thread as some might find it useful:

few updates on the Duracell from Batteries +, it is 840 CCA- not sure why their website lists at 710; the oe battery is 710 CCA

also as someone above (or the other thread) mentioned, the Duracell is a touch taller than oe and I had to slot the hole slightly for the rear j hook

    $111 for 840 CCA battery isn't too bad :)

Just for closure from my earlier post, got the bracket built and in. Excuse the rats nest. Have a fuse block that needs to go in. Just need to stop being lazy.

I bought a New Interstate for my motorcycle, at a local Interstate whse.. It was in an Interstate box, but when I opened the box, I pulled out a YUSA motorcycle battery. Then I saw an Interstate Battery sticker, in the box. I put the sticker over the YUSA logo & had a new Interstate battery. I knew Interstate wasn't a battery mfg, so it was no surprise. I always, when available, go to the Interstate whse., & buy a "Blem", they're always 1/2 price, or less, than a new battery. Many are scared of them, but they have worked very well for me. The last one I bought had no writing, brand, sticker nor nothing. Just a Black case with a red top
