Plan is to have something I can drive every day and then on weekends go camping or offroading. Going to keep weight low due to the 4-Banger and to keep decent MPG. A lot of the stuff has been done for a while but I'll try to find some pictures.

Rather than building a new build thread figure just expand off the old one. I salvaged a few parts off of my old Tacoma and will probably end up putting them on the new one. Probably won't go as crazy as the last since this is going to be a pavement pounder adventure rig. Plan will be to just level out the truck and maybe some load leveling airbags in the rear. Nothing to crazy just so it can still handle some 10 hour drives without issues.

Just picked up the new to me Tacoma on 5/24/2016

    Mileage and BS:
    5/24/2016: 11,700 miles
    10/8(i think)/2016: Falken Atw3 installed 22,600
Slacking here but 12/26/2016: Taco just rolled over 30k miles
6/5/2017: Just rolled over 40,000 miles
    11/29/2017: Getting close to 53,000

    Stats:

    Covercraft Canvas Front Seat Covers

Coms:CB Radio (Need to get my ass together and get this done)

    Suspension:

So finally got my new coilovers installed and adjusted. Still sitting a little nose low but not to bad. Went with Rock Krawler 2.625 Aluminum 7" Coilovers with 650lb coils in the front. Ride is sooooo much better now. Camburg arms seem to be holding up well from the salt and sand from the winter. Hopefully they last through next year as well. Seat covers showed up finally and have to say are pretty kick ass!

Did some adventuring recently. Have to say the pack rack helps a lot with the Kayak, glad I stuck with the cab height.
Other picture was taking the ferry out to Marthas Vineyard for the 4th. Was little cold and rainy but the truck handled the 2,000 mile round trip flawlessly. Ended up taking more pictures of the truck then anything else. Will post more up later

@david2011sr5 so far I love them took a little extra work cause they aren't bolt in kit but 30k miles on them almost and haven't missed a beat. Best part is no rust on them (besides a little on the coils but loads better then the ARB OME I took off

Thanks for the reply and nice 4 banger! Im looking at replacing my current setup. I've been eyeing the bilstein 8125's and the ome bp 51's but ran across your build and was curious about the Krawlers. They look pretty beefy but haven't been able to get to much info about them.

Edit: I was just checking out your pics and it looks like you have prodigy coil overs?

Nothing wrong with bilsteins I know a lot of ppl run them

So Rock Krawler is a jeep suspension company and their sister company Pure Performance deals in heavy duty trucks suspension and they are out of upstate New York bout 20 mins where I live. Their coilover line is call Prodigy here's the link:

    http://www.rockkrawler.com/SearchResults.asp?Cat=1938

So what I ended up doing is getting a 7 inch coilover with 650lb/in springs and 60/70 valving and extended bottoms (this accounts for the CV boots to prevent contact of the boot to the coilover). I then ordered from camburg their top hats for their coilovers, picked up some hardware for it and that's it. They don't have a kit for the tacomas so we kind of made it work. Helped knowing the owner and bunch of guys that work there.

Took some work and lots of swearing to get it all buttoned up but pretty happy with it. They don't rust like everything else or corrode which is why I went with them. Hope this helps!

Also their coilovers are called a 2.625 or 2-5/8 but for whatever you are doing its equivalent to a 2.5 from say fox of King. I ordered an 8 inch from them originally and it was much to long so they cut it down to a 7 and it worked pretty nicely

So new tires are ordered... hopefully this weekend or end of the month. Damn Cooper doesn't like making to many 255/85R16 STMaxxs so the tire shop wasn't to sure when they would be in. Stuck between mounting them on my stock Alum rims and run them for winter/wheeling or stick to the Level 8s. Maybe then in the spring is to throw on some All Seasons on the Level 8s for Summer or maybe just a light duty All Terrain? Not sure yet

So update on tire situation. Tire shop ended up not ordering anything. Guess the guy behind the counter didnt know what he was doing or something so no 255/85s in the plan now. Gonna stick to the same size I am running 265/75R16s probably through at least this winter. Ordered a set of Fierce MTs from Discount Tire. Should be under $700 all said and done installed. Probably in the spring throw on some P-Metric Ats or something for Daily Driving on the stock rims
