So what's weird is, my stock truck seems to have this issue (coolant leak; appears to be top of radiator tank? coolant weeped down sides of radiator and sprayed on front of block from fan action?), furthermore on mine I have condensation forming in the cab at the base of the windshield, and a coolant odor in the cab. I happened to mark my coolant line on the resivor when I got the truck(bought new, 3 mi on it...); marked it at it's cold level. Checking it cold now, level is a good 1" below my original mark. My truck has 11k, called Toyota informed them of the problem, soonest they can even look is 1.5 weeks out. Little ticked off to say the least; A) That the truck even has this DEFECT, and B)Apprent 0 sense of urgency considering problem/newness of truck. I probably should have just bought a Ford, LOL (and no, I didn't join here just to bitch...) Other than this thread, I cannot find any other mention of the issue..... My truck definetly has some sort of cooling system issue/issues....

is this a known issue? (some or part of it?) Something about the radiator mounting being different between short/long beds? do short beds stress the radiator mounts more or something? I only wheeled it once, I swear!!!!! :D I'm fascinated/perplexed/want to know more. Any links? Sorry if this is beating a dead horse. I did try to search.

The short bed comment is simply a steaming pile of male bovine excrement, don't give it the time of day. Welcome to TW, I'd be choked if a dealer told me it would be a week and a half before they'd LOOK at it. If visiting another dealer is an option for you I would go that way.

Got it- I'm thinking too hard I guess(short bed vs. long bed radiator mounts, LOL). Appreciate the welcome. I'm sure my post reeks of "noob" problems, so I'm ripe for the punishment I guess. My local Toy dealer apparently feels the same
