I dont understand this. I assume once CVTs vendor announces the group buy anyone on TW will be open to it I dont see what PMing you will do, i assume they would try to get as many people as they can on it so they sell more which would be the whole goal for them

Lots of bolt on chrome stuff
PMing him is for splitting shipping for a pallet of tents to the same place (CO?). GB would be open to all

That's correct. I was just saying for the people who did PM me, I will post that list. I started this thread as a means to try and help Bobby out, didn't know it would start such an uproar.

No uproar here, just trying to make sure I didn't miss out. Need to commit now and get on a waitlist for cheap shipping to CO.

What has been the policy in the past about buying more than one in a group buy? I have a buddy with a Jeep that is very interested as well, and not a member of out forum.

    Thanks

If anyone is planning on doing some type of Yakima setup either on their cab or canopy I have a set of 66" Round Cross Bars brand new in box for cheap. Going a different route and just want to get them outta my garage and give a TW member a good deal.

Better to ask what I have not done.

No snogoer05 is taking pms for the people that want to be apart of the group buy i (3378jakesr5) am taking pms to fill a two pallet max. of tents that will be shipped to my buddys shop to save some on shipping. there is one spot left on the second pallet and that means one more tent can fit. every one on the list that I have posted has already told me that they are in for sure and that there probably will not be any more room on the pallets after the last one is filled.

    hope this helps,

    jake,

Okay so I'm a little confused... I've read through most of the thread, but I just want to verify to be sure. Do I need to pm CVT to get on the list for the group buy? Or do I need to talk to Snogoer. I'm not trying to get in on the group shipping... Even though I'll be glad to connect with anybody who is in Northern Idaho. I just want to make sure I can get my tent!

Snogoer was just making a quick list for Bobby to give him an idea. As far as I know the GB will be in mid April, and you will order through CVT using the discount code provided when it is released. If I am wrong, please correct me.

Yes, my only intention was to create a list of people who were 100% committed to the GB so that when Bobby from CVT releases the details I could turn it over to him to alleviate some of the administrative BS. This isn't his first GB so I am positive he will keep his own list of who wants what and where it's going.

I am not involved in any pallet shipping for the GB.

So who is hoping that Bobby jumps in here tomorrow and launches this Group Buy? I just hope I have it before my memorial day trip to Montana since I can pick up at his shop in Bend.

I thought someone had talked to Bobby and he had said more like April 15th time frame?

Really doesn't matter to me but April 15th and I could swing by and pick it up instead of shipping it on my way home! Course Bobby would probably hold it for the two weeks too if I asked

Anybody know how long it takes to ship these? Is the end of april if the 15th order date a realistic idea, or more into may? Just trying to gauge when I may be able to set out on a trip…

    Excited to get this.

It depends on the number of people he allows in the GB. I know he was hoping to only do the GB for stock on hand. They ship freight so 5-10 days depending on where you are at.

Now the only other variable is whether he ships out as orders come in or whether he gathers all orders and then ships...and that will only be answered once he opens the buy on the 15th.
