2015 Double Cab Long Bed 4x4 Auto

Am I missing something with this Entune radio? Does it have an Ipod hook up? Or does Toyota still live in the Stone Age and use the aux input?

 

my 2013's radio has a usb port for this down by the atrac button (though you poor DCLB wouldnt know anything about that awesome button)

Come on now there are awesome trucks. But seriously no direct input? No heated mirrors. Basics that you van get on almost any car or truck nowadays.

 

Isn't this why they have Bluetooth? My iPhone connects automatically. Cut the cord!

 

Bluetooth is not even close to having direct audio input. You get a lot of signal loss playing through the air. It's good and works but not even close to true sound.

 

There's no USB input ?

 

I use bluetooth on my 15 or you can use USB port.

 

Be prepared to be unhappy with the Entune in so many ways....

Lol, first world problems. I don't think there has been a day I've ever thought about my audio quality loss. I love my JBL system in my 2014 Off-Road, but I'm not an audiophile.

 

I agree, I have actually been very happy with the bluetooth features on my JBL setup. I have not noticed any quality loss even when I crank it up.

 

i love the people that claim audio loss over bluetooth... as they listen to pandora that streams at a max of 128kbps.

unless your listening to FLAC files on a high quality player with a good DAC you arnt likely to notice the difference.

 

Try Crutchfield.com as they often have aftermarket solutions for usb sound inputs for stock stereos

Yeah I can use the usb the issue is it does not show up on the head unit. I normally always upgrade my decks but this has some nice built ins. I do have a new in the box Pioneer AVH 7500BT that I should just put in. But then you have to upgrade the low budget paper cone speakers, and amp.

 

Just went out a played around with it a little. Actually besides seeing the wire it works great. Shows all info on the head unit. Album cover song name and title etc etc etc. Screw it for now I will just keep it in.

Yup. Probably not worth being worried about signal degradation from Bluetooth on the stock audio system...
