2015 Entune is LAME

Had my 2015 for 2 months. When I picked the truck up at the dealer the salesperson set up my phone with the trucks radio. Everything work fine including emails text messages everything. Now the messaging quit working and I've tried everything. The dealer even updated the software in the head unit. Uggggg so pissed

 

I have the 2015 Entune Plus (basically everything except the navigation).

Messages are no problem, but have never got it to read the gmail (the paid business version) messages from my android phone.

If anyone knows how to do this please comment.

To the OP: I would suggest providing a bit more detail on what is not working, what phone type etc etc.

The phone works fine on Bluetooth but the text messages and email don't work.

 

The dealer never could get mine in sync either, the phone works thru the system but it won't load my contact list or any messages.

 

Do you have a iPhone? I do & did a upgrade & it turned something off in my settings. I'm looking through it to see if I can find it. The dealership couldn't help me, my 23 year old son did.

Try, Settings>Bluetooth>caraccessorysystem then click the (I) then make sure show notification is on.

 

Mine everything worked but messages till I turned that on.

 

Not much of an expert at this, but going to try suggesting something, not sure if you tried it yet or not.

Email never worked for me, never really tried to sync that to be honest, and never really had a desire to, but as phone as the text messages part, I would suggest unpairing your phone, and then pairing it again to the radio. Might work, might not, but worth a shot.

On a side note, every once in a while mine stops notifying me of the text messages as well, and all I do is hold down the power button on the radio for about 10 seconds or so, the system will reboot, even if you're driving, and then turn back on and works fine from there.

Again, I'm no expert, but figured I'd throw in my 2 cents to try and help.

 

Are you referring to an iphone? My Samsung S5 doesn't have such a setting.
I've tried everything
-Radio 10 second reboot
-Cycle phone power
- Delete the phone from the radio and re-add it
-Un-pair the phone and re-pair
It just won't sync contacts, emails, or texts.

 

When mine stops working (messages), I clear (delete all) the messages on my phone and let the Entune reconnect. Motorola Razr Max.

 

Yes mine is a IPhone, I think you have a phone issue not a entune issue. I was just looking at other sites talking about how to clear cash on that S5 to reset Bluetooth.

 

Why does the weather app take like 5 min to load? At times I'll already be in another town and it needs to update yet again.

 

I think it's because it runs off of HD radio signal, which from what I have seen, seems to be "in and out". I think that's why.

 

I have the same setup as the OP. 2015 entune and an S5.

Mine just recently started syncing text messages. Never did before. Phone sync was spotty at best at first and now it is consistently working fine. Have done the whole remove phone and re sync many times.

Never attempted email.

 

The message feature has never worked with mine.
