Don't know about Android, but if you have iPhone you need to be sure you have "Show Notifications" enabled. To do this go to Bluetooth in Settings and find your Bluetooth connection to your Taco. Where the connection displays you should see a circled "i" in blue text. Touch that "i" and then enable notifications.

I get 250-300 work related emails a day and can say that I'm glad the email notifications don't work on entune with my iPhone 6. Txt and calls seems to work just fine

I have a 2015 Etune Plus and a Galaxy S5. It works phone, messages and emails. Pulled in contacts. Sorry I don't know why. Just paired it up with Bluetooth and they downloaded. Sometimes it can't retrieve messages and I just clear them from my phone and everything works fine. Is it still under warranty? Try to get the dealer to fix it. Hope you get it sorted out. It's nice when it's working right. One thing sucks is that you can voice dial and talk but you can't voice text except for the preprogrammed phrases.

My weather likes to show the forecast for a city over a hundred miles away when I first get in the truck. I should add the city it shows is one I have never driven to so not quite sure where its getting the info from. :)

I have the S5 with a 2015 entune and mine always worked fine for listening to music/text/calls. Have you tried it with someone elses phone to rule out an issue with your phones bluetooth? If you don't have access to another bluetooth phone to test maybe try a factory reset on the s5?

Yikes....at least mine is just one town over. I think it looks for more major towns and not the city that you might be in. Unless you are REALLY remote, it should be much closer than that.

I have an android phone, can't get messages to work either. Seems to be an android problem as searched on net. I don't really want to delete messages to under 100 like suggested by Internet,,,,,,
But that would be my last resort?

Mine re boots all the time. The weather never worked because I am remote and too far out for hd. Not really impressed. Dealer is a total douchebag in my area. He is the national champion of "ain't my fault"

Bed rug, ARE bed top, Weathertechs. Little goodies here and there!
2013 here and my text, contacts synch fine. Don't care to see email so I never looked. There is an option to force synch contacts within entune, maybe that'll help? Also, check the version of your Entune. I wanna say mine is v5.? or something? I had mine updated last fall due to other issues under warranty and haven't had any problems since.

The dealer should stop screwing around and give you a new unit. Its under warranty..... what's the problem. My works fine but USB port will charge but will not permit phone and radio to communicate to each other. My problem is probably the USB Port ( appears to be a shitty interface) gonna take it to the dealer and see what he says.

I just used my USB to charge my phone while trying to use Waze app. I thought it was just a phone setting. Is this a known issue where an iPhone will not communicate with the radio while connected?

Yes, when in areas with HD signal it uses that signal to update traffic and weather. But when you are in rural areas without a HD signal, the system is supposed to default to your smartphone, as long as you have a cell signal, to give you weather. That has never worked in my 2014 entune with nav. I have had it into the dealer twice for this issue. The problem is that there is a stong HD signal where the dealersip is located, so I think it makes if difficult for them to troubleshoot the problem. One issue I have with the weather when it works is that you can not zoom in to a meaningful level, for example, if you are approaching a bad thunderstorm and want that info. I would like to see Toyota correct this. Any thoughts on why it does not use my cell when out of HD signal? I have a iphone 6.

If Entune relies on the phone for weather data, I'm not sure how this can be communicated from Entune to the phone only through Bluetooth. It would make sense if there was an Entune app for Apple/Android that would relay the info back and forth, but this isn't the case.

My understanding was that the only thing Entune uses phone internet data for is grabbing album covers and info from Gracenote.

Edit -- OK so apparently there IS an Entune app. I'm going to try it out later today.

Yeah, I got the app when I bought the truck. If you get weather to work when you are out of HD signal post how you do it. On the Entune menu, you can pick HD, smartphone, or both. I have it set to both, but it never works off my phone.

All the reasons and problems on the newer factory stereos is why I always replace the factory stereo with aftermarket as soon as I get it. Then when I sell or trade I reinstall the factory unit.

Factory stereos suck. Always have always will.

A 300 - 400 dollar Pioneer, Kenwood or Alpine beats the crap out of a 1000 -1200 dollar factory unit.

I tried, but apparently the entune app only works with certain versions like the top end nav/jbl stuff

I run waze and an iphone 6. I do not plug in to the usb port in the truck, messes things up, I have a charger I use that plugs in the cigarette lighter socket that I use to charge mine. I dont run waze through bluetooth either, just the phone speaker. maybe this will help :notsure: 2015 entune plus
