I think Renault is holding out for confirmation that they would indeed receive the additional long time constructor's prize money before taking over , Eccelstone has likely used that to leverage Renault to supply engines to Red Bull for next season , but I'm sure we'll know soon enough

I saw some article about redbull doing a bunch of off roading in a F1 car to appeal to americans...thought why the fuck are you trying to get more fans when your current fans are so disappointed anyways.

F1 is shit now days. as much as I love it and still watch, its just fuckin garbage.
After russia everyone was complaining about Kimi and Valterri, saying kimi shouldn't have done what he did etc. WE NEED MORE DRIVERS LIKE THEM.

All it is is Mercedes way up ahead and nothing happens. Its not even skill anymore its all about who has the better car. Top gear fully showed that too ebfore it ended. Ricciardo has the fastest time, yet look at where he stands right now. Not to mention the politics are bullshit. Bernie and Toto are so buddy buddy with each other and Lewis cries like a little baby if he doesn't get his way and Toto does anything for him. He's a great driver but I absolutely hate Lewis.

I wish we had more driver competitions like Lauda and Hunt, or Senna and Prost.

I just want more drivers like Daniel Ricciardo or Kimi, guys that don't hold back and go for a gap...whether or not they should.
I love seeing Daniel brake late in the corner, lock up and try and over take. Its exciting. I might have been a bit too harsh, I'm just tired of only seeing mercedes on the podium and sick of lewis' attitude

 

I'm curious if they will end up bring in closed cockpits like they have suggested.

 

Kimi has played 2nd fiddle to his team mates since Lotus and his pass attempt on Bottas never had any hope of coming off any other way than it did

That said , old Kimi was a great driver to watch and Ricciardo's passing skill is awesome

 

I wont argue that, obviously what kimi was trying to do couldn't end any other way, BUT he still went for it. Its easy for us to say oh he was wrong etc but you have to consider they're going 250km+ in that split second its hard to judge. Fact is he didn't give up. And his attitude is what we need more of. He kept it entertaining he pushed on even if it was wrong.

Just like Daniel does. I just wish we had more drivers like that.

Plus the rules are too restricting now. I mean come on I cant be the only one that would love to see the 6 wheel cars back...even though they were terrible it would be so entertaining haha.

Not even just that just comparing the racing from now to as recent as the early to mid '00s or 90s it was so much better.

 

He came from too far back with way too much speed into an ever closing gap , that move was never going to happen , which is why he was penalized for causing a collision and it wasn't put down to a " racing incident ". Drivers of his caliber generally know when they can make a move stick or at the very least have a chance of coming off .

I agree I like to see drivers' take opportunities to pass, that's just a poor example
