Yeah, I watched that on TV and I still think it was a racing incident, but that's neither here nor there. Massa is talented, but he talks trash. A lot. He should remember that he got popped 10 grid places for hitting De La Rosa at Monza in 2002 as a rookie driver. Complained then too.

Verstappen's use of Vettel and the blue flags was brilliant , too bad he got over zealous on Grosjean , look at the onboard , there was literally no room for him up the inside even if he could have managed to brake in time to make the corner

I like him. I don't like him causing accidents, but I like the attitude. I don't know why, normally that would rub me the wrong way. Maybe it's because it's Massa. If he bowed up to Kimi or Alonso, I'd be annoyed. Kimi would probably kick his ass anyway.

I like his instincts and his drive. I'm going to stop short of Senna comparisons...but...yeah. Same attitude.

I like Verstappen and his style of racing. The accident might have been his fault but it happens. All the greats have done it and will continue to do so because winning is everything and nobody wants to be passed. Some of these drivers act like they never wreck or are at fault.

Do that all day . Using fractions of inches right now , later I'll be driving in kmh and pumping litres of petrol into my truck

Yeah, that's an crazy thing to bring back. These guys have spent untold millions on dev for hybrid technologies and now the F1 SG wants to drop all that. For what? In the name of brakes and spectacle? If you want F1 to be what it was 20 years ago, bring back V10's and get rid of power steering and other driver aids. Hell, I would be happy with banning turbos. I just don't understand why they keep making this sport so much more expensive for the teams. I dunno.

The refueling proposal did not mean dropping the hybrids

I get that, but what point is having all the hybrid technology (and V6 turbos) if you don't have to conserve fuel? Now you have a smaller displacement engine with forced induction (which sounds terrible), KERS, etc. These were all sold as solutions to problems that nobody seemed to have. So fine, everybody spent millions redeveloping engines and chassis for those. Then they refueling proposal passed, which would cost teams more money (transporting and administering in-race refueling equipment), create more safety issues (see Kimi at Interlagos in 2009) and basically nullify the regs created for fuel conservation. I'm glad they killed it. It was a band-aid for a larger issue.

I can't tell you how many V6 turbo hybrids with KERS I have to pass each day on the way to work ;)
