I read yesterday the team is going to have a satellite base in Banbury UK. This should help with logistics.
While I'm not really a nascar fan, I do live in nascar country, I am only about 45 minutes from HAAS. Keep in mind this area is not only a nascar hub, but international racing hub as well. Lots of IMSA Tudor teams, sports car teams, grand am teams, indy teams, etc. I think there is a decent talent pool in this area for potential F1 crew and engineer. Sure they may not be used to F1 standards, but the days of bubba changing tires is long gone.

 

I have met a few over the years, I had the chance to try out one time, but I didn't. These guys come from all over the country and even international. Tire changers in nascar specifically may be bigger dudes. I'm not defending nascar technology but the record pit stop is around 8 seconds. That's 2 guys, 4 tires, and 20 lug nuts. I think they could handle a much lighter wheel and tire with one nut, and 4 guys. A normal stop is 10-12 seconds.

I guess my point is there is top level talent in most disciplines of racing in this area.

 

I think they should go back to these noses. A nascar tire changer could just pick it up by the nose and skip the jack all together. It would have to save time!
