    SOLD 7/10/2018

    2015 FRP Flippac

    Model to fit 6ft Beds

    • Tent is in excellent shape without any holes or yellowing. Tent was maintained every year with new coating on the fabric, new seam seal on all seams, and all zippers lubricated. All window screens are in tact with exception of a few small tears in the forward most screen.

    • The flippac shell is also in great shape and was waxed regularly. There are a few areas that have the typical hairline cracks in the gel coat but nothing beyond that. The Torsion bar brackets were resealed in 2016 and the lid hardware replaced with stainless fasteners. Shell has front and side sliding windows with all screens in tact. All hardware on the outside of the flippac is in excellent condition.

    • I have mounted Yakima side load gutters on all three sides which we used in conjunction with Westfalia style awning Mounts to allow our ARB awning to be modular and mounted on both sides and rear.

    • These mounts can also be used with Yakima A1 towers which I plan to include with the flippac along with modified crossbars to allow roof clearance.

    • The Torsion bar was replaced after about 6 months when the first bar spiral fractured. The current bar has been in great shape since then and new torsion bars and hinges are available aftermarket now from Sway-A-Way.

    • Includes SLO rainfly with two windows and 4 vents. Rainfly was also regularly treated and seam sealed and includes additional webbing points.

    • Also included are strip lights on both sides running the full length of the shell as well as roof lighting ran across the top tent support bar and an additional strip along the rear window frame for tailgate lighting which can be wired to any switch you please. we used a basic rocker switch at rear.

    • I have added an additional set of hanger hardware on the interior to allow the partition that hold the tent in place to be collapsed 3/4 of the way creating more walking space and a smaller shelf to store bags and gear.

    • Additionally I am including front, rear, and side insulated panels which Velcro into place on the frame. These panels are double backed with carpet and aid with insulation during the colder temps.

    • Flippac will come with all of the necessary mounting hardware to bolt into the factory bed rails as well as the lid strut brackets and torsion bar crank handle.

    • Also includes the factory FRP foam mattress and cover along with an additional half inch of closed cell foam attached to the base of the mattress

Below are photos of the areas described above, most of which during our travels. For serious inquirers I am happy to provide more photos etc of specific areas. This flippac has served us so well and we look forward to it finding a good new home for its next adventure. (interior build not included)

    Thanks for looking

    Thanks!

My particular set were made by A local shop called Mule Expedition outfitters (they are awesome) but you can find them as well from Go Westy. I had to bend mine a little to match the more vertical sides of the Flippac

Sorry don't want to thread jack, but were you able to open the flippac all of the way when you had the packasport on? I'd like to have a similar setup to that on mine.

Unfortunately no, when the roof rack is on it stays closed. A lot of our winter camping was done with the lid closed stealth style because we were in parking lots at the mountain.

However, it can come off easily with two people so you could remove it at your camp site in theory. We always figured we would do that with paddle boards etc since the side load bars suppor weight better than additional load on the lid.

Shed a little tear but our flippac is now off with its new owner.

Thank you all for the interest
