2015 - Is there front license plate bracket, OEM or aftermarket?

    I haven't found one so far, and it seems there must be a better way than to simply attach the plate to the bumper without a backing.

    Holes drilled into front bumper is the way to go. Then use screws with the plastic nuts. Parts store has them.

    I use a plastic license plate frame (from the BMW parts bin) to mount the license plates on both my Gen 1 and Gen 2 trucks in the winch fairlead opening on my ARB bullbars. It's not been a problem in 15 years and gives superb protection to the plate.

    As I relocate to a rear-plate-only state this autumn, I gotta figure out what do do with that empty real estate. Maybe one of the trucks will actually get a winch...

    I know on my 2008 there are two very small dimples on the front bumper where they put extra plastic behind to screw into

    Please do not drill directly into the bumper if you have a choice. I can't recall the name of it but someone here made a plastic bracket for the front plate that attached to the lower bumper plastic grill assembly.
