Dumb by TCU imo to go for 2. Had all the momentum and the Sooners couldn't seem to stop them. I'd have kicked the extra point.

 

I only slightly driftered for that game. I'm not sure my body can handle that much stress ever again.

 

I didn't get to see the end of that game. Sounds like Patterson has some brass balls. OU's Heisman-hopeful QB was out at the time. He should have played for OT. Easy to say in hindsight, but still.

 

The SEC East is a dumpster fire. The division champs taken to OT by FL Atlantic a week after needing a last-minute field goal to beat Vandy? Georgia takes OT to beat GA Southern? That team gave Alabama fits in 2011 and rushed for more than 300 yards (as Saban noted in his presser this week), but Alabama still beat the dog shit out of them (45-21).

And South Carolina? Come on, man.

IMO, the best of the SEC still deserves to get a shot at the playoffs most years, but it's hard to beat your chest and chant SEC! SEC! SEC! when half of the conference looks like that.

 

My post was after the fact but I was thinking I'd play for OT when they lined up for for the 2 pointer. It was one of those moments when you have that feel of how the game is going. I just thought why put it all on one play when your offense is moving the ball at will?

Yeah the East is a joke, has been for years. We had our window to dominate but the Richt factor wouldn't allow it.

And I'm sick of hearing so many people say how UF still has a shot at the playoff and even the NC. They could easily have 4-5 loses to bad teams. Yall will dominate them for sure.

My thoughts exactly. I hate two point conversions. They failed on two of them and those two extra points would have won it. And OU couldn't do shit against the defense in the 4th quarter, make them beat you! But that's not how Patterson has ever done things. I was excited to see them come back with a wounded as they are, just too little, too late.

Maybe we could trade? Not a fan of him but would have to be better than Richt. But I can imagine LSU fans would run him out of town quick unlike our homer fan base.

I think Les and Richt should just swap. I don't know who the corndogs think they're going to get who is better than Miles. I think a LOT of teams would be happy to get Miles, too.

I hope Les stays at LSU..he's the most entertaining coach in the SEC, and prolly the country. They would probably have one less loss if Chavis didn't bolt to A&M. Why did Chavis leave LSU?

If Miles is fired, and Richt gets the boot, Saban will be the only remaining HC in the conference since his arrival in 2007. All three of their clocks are ticking. Saban will go out when he wants.

 

I didn't realize this. I remember when he came to Alabama a lot of people assumed he'd move on in 3 or 4 years. He's in his 9th year now. His team wasn't wasn't in the national championship conversation on the last day of the regular season just two times in those 9 years (2007/2010).
