Was there last weekend and it was wide open. Drove right down into the river.

Red dawg and chaulk bluff are roads just not pavement. People live up there so they can't close them.

So You Bet/Red Dog is a go for me for Sunday. I'm taking the woman along with me. I'm mainly going to ride my mountain bike but it'd be good to have any of ya'lls that want to come up there as well.

I know Fernando and Jay expressed interest in going. You guys still want to go? We could meet up and caravan up there or RV at the Subway in Colfax.

I'm thinking of heading up there on Sunday. Never been, and am always willing to check out a different area even if its mostly just sand and gravel.

Looking at the map, there seems to be several ways to get there. From Colfax, do you usually take 174, then 'You Bet' road, then 'Red Dog' ?

I'll look at Google maps when I get home and tell you how I get there. I usually navigate by landmark

I gotta say, I really like how the first post looks with the links. much nicer and easier to navigate than the 2014 thread (only I can say that ok guys :) lol ).

    Good job Nick

Hi all. I've been out of the loop since the wheeling trip to hollister hills back in June due to becoming a new father! My son was born in July. Despite all the sleepless nights, its been a really fun and exciting experience.

If you dont remember me, I had the completely stock white 1st gen with black FJ cruiser wheels and blown front suspension that made it all the way to the top!

Anyways, Im really looking forward to coming out with you all again sometime soon! I just noticed you guys made a trip just last weekend but I was out of town at that time :(. Im still running the stock setup and would like to give it more of a beating before I replace the entire suspension.

Yeah, 174 out of Colfax, right on You Bet Rd., which turns into Red Dog Rd. Follow that until you come to the creek bed cliffs.

So here's the plan: I'm stopping at the Subway in Colfax between 930-945 tomorrow morning. I'll be leaving there by 10 to head to Red Dog. If anyone wants to meet me there, I'm in a white 2nd Gen AC with a bed topper. It'll have bikes on the back of it.

If you can't make it by then but still want to come, follow my directions in the above post.

Looks like its a go for me. I'll aim for 9:45am at the Subway. Do you have a CB?
